Brian,

Thanks! Pretty cool montage'. Neat to see how the cars 'transitioned' . The Spanish bullfighting background music fit well too,,,Smile . BTW: Does'nt Chet Wilson's son still do some hobby engine building? I'm guessing you seen some of the races in the video personally? Hey who was "jelly" that I hear from time to time? I know He did hand built some cars. back in the day

I'm a supermodified fan that was put on the shelf back in the 70's, I'm 42. I'm trying to get caught up.

"Jelly" Wilhelm is from Wichita, Kansas. He built the red #99 T-Top super in the video, and many more winning cars from the region.

Jerry Wilson is still building engines to this day. He also keeps the Offy Killer in shape. That car was the first to really break through and prove sbc's could win at half the cost.

I don't know who Jelly learned from, but I do know he taught in one way or another, this region most of what it knows now about open wheel dirt cars.

I do wonder if Nance learned from Jelly or if Jelly learned from Nance. most likely they learned at the same time.

Learn all you can from him, he IS truly a genius. Get pics and film too, you'll be glad in 20 years that you did!
