I just realized something when I noticed that Tulsa has their annual Daryl Starbird Rod and Custom Car Show this weekend, why does OKC still not have their annual car show? My son and I use to go all the time and I always looked forward to seeing the local area drivers and their race cars on display as well.
Just wondering if anybody had any idea as to why Daryl Starbird no longer comes here, although I think I have an idea.

The city kept raising the fees, cutting out any chance to make a profit. Plain and simple.

Just like racin they dont want anything automotive related unless its green and doesnt leave a carbon footprint . SFS would still be around if we were all racin a Prius or a Yarus !!
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Cody, Ken Monroe, and I just got back from the Starbird show in Tulsa. Not a bad show but not as good as years past

We don't have a car show for the same reason we no longer have a race track! We were there this morning and there were a few sprints and minis. Starbird had some of his vingtage stuff in there as well. Still had a pretty good crowd, though.

Didn't you win the NCRA Modified title in 1974?
I ran into Mike Allison the other day out of nowhere (not literally).
