Well I really hate to say this and it sucks. But after watching this unfold on TV their mind is made up. The Grandstands are history and it has been on the agenda for years, I don't like it any more than anyone else does.
Some might say if someone has the money to invest to bring the Grandstands up to code, they might change their minds. It still would not make any difference racing at the Fair Grounds is over and that's not just my opinion it seems the facts were made clear on TV.
Save Fair Speedway LLC did a good job, and I would like to say thank you to them ALL. No one will ever know if the fight to save SFS would have been put in motion years prior to now, if the out come would have been any different but probably not. We will never know so I guess it is what it is...

It is hard to admit it,I believe that is correct.Maybe another track will be built somewhere around the city.Thank you everyone that worked to save SFS,I have a new found respect for those.Until I watched a replay of the city council meeting I did not know that we had three council members that were actually trying to be fair about it.I stand corrected,not all of them are fags.It is hard to fight a battle when the deck is already stacked.I hate to agree with JD ( because he drives fords ) but its time to move on.Perhaps if there was as much energy,research,leadership focused on building another track as was placed on SOS it can happen.Erich,Mandy,Shane,A,and everyone else,you fought hard we just came up short.Its a tough loss but I am proud of all of the fans and racers around here I have something to believe in.Thank you.
