Greg Wilson won a barn-burner of a race at the Attica opener over Brock Mayes, Lee Jacobs and Byron Reed. Wilson and Jacobs swapped slidejobs several times, great racing up front. Bryan Sebetto was the 305 winner in another exciting feature. In fact, the Late Model Feature was pretty good too. Good night of racing, but drawn out a little by several cautions and a couple of reds.

Great racing and what a crowd! Dang near SRO. The cool weather didn't keep anybody away.
Mayes came from the rear after a spin, and Byron started near the rear, came forward and spun as well, then came from the rear a second time. Lee Jacobs looks to have picked up where he left off last season with a strong run. Dale Blaney looked strong, but went pitside during the open red. Anybody know what happened to end his night early?
I was surprised that Rob Chaney and his new ride weren't there tuning up for next weekend.
Kudos to the track. The new lighting, pit stands and improvements to the existing grand stands were nice to see.
Other than the lengthy show due to cautions and reds it was a good opener. Track was in great shape.
See ya next weekend.

The crowd was tremendous, and so was the feature racing. Wilson is unbelievable to watch on the high side of this particular track! But the outcome was very much in doubt until the very end of this one.
Having to find ways to deal with much larger crowds is a pleasant problem to have, IMHO. As I've said before, hard work pays off.

Scoop......larger crowd problems are great to have and overcome....but when the problem is brought on by BAD changes, i hope someone can swallow their pride and change back to a system that works(the old ones were a lot better)......most of the lines were self inflicked and pissed a lot of ppl off....the good thing is the ppl in charge here, seem to be way better at overcoming the bad things and making them good....so we are keeping the faith ......they shall overcome....awesome racing is the key ingrediant....and a well prepared track...and it was AWESOME....life's short, play hard.

Agreed awesome night of racing. The concession lines were awefully long, hopefully they can work that out before their big shows. Their old system worked well, just go back to that.
One point of contention and I hope the Attica people read this. Beautiful new lights and catch fence. But PAINT THE FENCE BLACK. With the lights shining on it you can't see at angles, and it's hard enough straight on. Reminds me of how Lawrenceburg used to be, when it got dark and they turned on the lights, you couldn't hardly see through the white fence. Attica's is shiny new silver, very difficult to see through, a little flat black paint will do the job.

Wow! What a great show. Fine job by the folks at Attica in making the changes to the track lighting, fencing and the addition of the pit grandstands. All top notch improvements. The track was immaculate last night and the racing was action packed. Wilson, Jacobs, Reed and Mayes put on quite a battle.
There is nothing better than opening night, my first one in Florida and then of course last night. I know I'm a little different, but I get charged up to see the new paint schemes, to see who moved up and to see who is and isn't there.
The crowd was HUGE! I too was a little surprised by the long lines at the ticket window and the food stand, but like George said, they do a fine job of fixing what is wrong. I would expect everything to be under control soon.
Overall......TWO THUMBS WAY UP!!!!!!!

Great crowd.
Great racing.
Great improvements.
I'm sure the Attica folks are thrilled to have to solve the problem with long lines for the tickets, concessions, and bathrooms. I hope they have to worry about that every weekend.

Hey Ed - Sorry I missed you (again). I won't be at Attica again until the WoO show, but I can bring it to you then.
Bahama - You are very right, the glare was a bit much off the shiny fence. It is not real conducive to a good video tape...
