A new racing show {Madhouse} premiers on Sunday Jan. 10th at 9:00 pm. on the history channel. It looks like it could be cool!

Ok I watched the first episode.
Its OK, its about asphalt modified racing at Bowman-Gray Stadium in Winston/Salem, NC.
This track has operated since 1948,the first NASCAR sanctioned track.
It shows the rivalries & the battles. The track looks cool, it has a nice grass infield where I THINK high school football games are still played, not sure 100% about that. I know they used to be.
I recommend watching it.
Hell it's January & this is a show about racing. Watch it.

Its BORING! They spent 85% of air time with the drivers and crew members just talking smack about one another. I sure got the feeling that the people on camera were adding smack for camera effect. Those people are showing the viewers that tune in what a bunch of rednecks they are by the way they carry on.

Hey it's TV based in North Carolina. I found it to be about achievements and funds available for the teams featured. I cant wait for the fight next week between JR. and Burt. It's not near as boring as some of your post on here though.

Conflict is what keeps any show interesting, but it also will get old pretty quickly if they don't develop some other story lines. The first episode kept my interest. The bravado will get a little old over time, though. The good racers I've been around don't talk nearly as much garbage as those guys did in episode one. I guess class doesn't make for good TV.

I agree with you unless other story lines develope it will get old. I'm sure the first episode is about the top 5 from the previous year and I am intrested to see if any other teams our introduced. But I could see the old time Vet like every track might have, The spoiled brat kids that have the best of everything, The guy that works all week without a team and on a low budget, and the guy that buys the best of everything and pays attention to every little detail.
Even thou it wasnt racing from start to finish it dose show what goes on behind the sceens somewhat. I like the kids that says "Jr. Sucks" how was that staged? The bone head move the old man made under warm-ups, I'm hopeful it hold mine and Colby attention throughout the series.
I give it 1 Thumbs up right now.

I also thought it wasn't worth watching. Needs alot more racing. If I want to see fighting and talking smack then I would watch WWE or go watch Kenny Butler, Jeff Autry, and Cody at Smileys

"Great" than I guess we wont be hearing anymore of yours or KOP comments putting down the only short track grassroots racing show on here anymore! Hell I thought about having a Fantasy Leagues as well with these guys, but you guys dont get involved in that either so no loss. The thing is if you quit looking at what racing does for you and look at what NC does you'll see that they are more advanced than we are. You want more racin than record stuff, but look at the Radio coverage that state gets. They have a talk show dedicated to OUR sport, Now theres a TV show about OUR sport and people around here only want to put any advancement in OUR sport down, Even whit-in our own Family. Typical! Make sure and go to Church next Sunday so you have a good reason for not watching it. But I do understand, your the guy that thought GM stock was great and Ford wasnt worth a sh!t, By the way Ford's worth $10 a share and you cant give away GM stock now!
By the way AX Men was a good show too.
If you dont like it, thats fine watch Opra!

If we were in the heart of the racing belt like NC we would probably get radio talk shows also. Rather than some washed up sports announcers that always talk about OU football..... JMO.. The show will get better if it don't I will change the channel, That's why I have over 200 channels...

I agree with everything you said but I think we should already have a radio talk show now and maybe saving our speedway wouldnt be an issue. This show probably wont last for too many season if even more than 1. They would have to change tracks and show other types of Stock Car Racin and new Teams in order for it to be sucsessful. But it is reality TV and better than the Bachlor like KOP is watching. LOL

Should expect that from you JD. I guess you like Fighting, talking smack and running into each other instead of good clean racing, the hard work that everybody puts into the cars, and showing that racing is a family sport. I bet right now that you are watching WWE and hollering and jumping up and down. I wouldn't be bragging about Ford's 10 dollars a share either. They are hurting just like GM and Chrysler. If it wasn't for NASCAR do you think NC would even be on the map for racing. As far as the fantasy league it ain't my bag but I don't criticize you for playing in the fantasy league. Remember Oprah is on at 3 and hope to see you at church on Sunday

At one time Mark Brill was talking about having a weekly tv show on local cable.

No I like any type of promotions for Motorsports and this TV show is a good step. Fighting is just part of this sport you been around long enough to know that. Fighting in our sport is no different than Hockey, Football or Soccer to name a few. Talkin smack or jokin around is all I'm doin. Clean Racin, Hard Work, Family sport? That dosent even need a response. As far as watching WWE right now, at that time I was on my way to the YMCA to coach Little League Basketball. Ford didnt take any tax dollars {My Money} so they could meet their obligations to the retieres, over seas contracts, executive bonuses, Jet Air Planes, Leave lots of Oklahomans high and dry. Nice to know you know what time Oprah airs though. New Church Rockwell and NW Highway 9:00 maybe 10:30 sit on the left side.
