Ok if anyone wants to help in any way. Send me your email Name and telephone number.
There are a few things that everyone can help out in some way. We do have paper petitions ready to go out after we make one change to it. If you are interested in having one to have people sign then I will get you the email to request some. We will have two guys up at the shootout and there will be a group of us at the chilli bowl. Out of state names count as well.
We need someone that has access to a copier and that is willing to print off thousands of flyers off. If there are any sponors that read this that would like to have these fliers in there place of business let me know. The flyers are being worked on but will have contact numbers and such of people in the city.
We are working on the t-shirt design as we speak. Yes t-shits will be for sell. The money will go to help promote this project more and more. If anyone would like to donate money as well then it will be accepted. Send me a pm or email requesting the info to send the money where. Stickers should be ready soon,
We have a rally date set for Jan 30 had to change the date b/c there is a racers auction on the 23rd.There will be a signing party for the petiton at 12 and a parade set for 1. Bring you trucks, trailers, race cars if you can, motorcycles, street rods if you do not have any of those just come out and particpate in support of the track. You can decorate your cars anyway you want. But, remember we are trying to let people know we are not want the general idea of who we are.
We also need some people to do help us with reserach at the historical society and look some info up downtown.
I am sure there is something else that I am forgetting but that was the gerneal scope of things.

Do not let the city fool you about the money to fix the electrical it was there but they did not want to take it.
The hotel/ motel tax thing was a meeting called by Cornett and he wanted no mins taken. There was a total of 12 people that witnessed this conversation. If you were present at the meeting send me a pm.I already no of one.
The city wants to see what could be be held at the grandstand other than racing. A couple of ideas we had that might fit in well at the grandstand was a museum and a resterant. As well as concerts, x games style events, etc etc

You may have already thought about it but if not, consider asking Emmitt Hahn to donate a vendor space at the Chilibowl for petition signing, donations and t-shirt sales. Volunteers to man the space shouldn't be a problem. And you might ask to be placed next to the "Legends of racing" group. That's the old timers of Tulsa Speedway that have the picture albums available for viewing and sell their calendars.

It has been done. We have a banner put up during the chilli bowl. If you are running the race and would like a sticker to put on the car let us know.

Erich, if anything... consider a proposal that State Fair Speedway become the Oklahoma Dirt Car Racing Hall of Fame. Dirt car racers from all over Oklahoma -- not just Oklahoma City -- would be included in this. Plaques could be placed along the walls of the grandstand. Ceremony every July 4 week
Three-day Hall of Fame weekend -- races Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our local boys in every class and ASCS.
Imagine the candidates for the charter class. . .

Erich, we would love to have a huge stack of flyers here at Mr. Pickup. We have lots of sprint car photos in our showroom from SFS and they usually become the topic of conversation with customers. You can always walk in and find racing on our waiting room T.V. Right now we are playing last year's Chili Bowl. ( 'tis the season)
We just want to be involved in the place my Grandfather raced at in the sixties and my Dad and I grew up going to. We'll help in any way possible.
