Despite rumors to the contrary, just got confirmation from USMTS president Todd Staley and Enid Speedway Park promoter Lonnie Colville that this Friday and Saturday nights USMTS Southern Series race is still on as scheduled. Gates open both days at 3:00 PM with racing set for 7:00 PM. Economy modifieds and street stocks are the support divisions. Friday nights USMTS modified feature pays $2000 to win with Saturday nights feature finale paying $3000 to win.
All USMTS rules will apply. American Racer is the Official Tire of the USMTS, and any driver seeking to receive USMTS Southern Series points and/or contingency awards must use the American Racer KK-704 racing tire. The Hoosier G60 tire will also be allowed for this race, but must be mounted on all four wheels with no grooving allowed. To learn more about the O’Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series, call the headquarters office at (515) 832-7944 or visit www.usmts.com online.
The Enid Speedway Park is located 2.5 miles north of U.S. Hwy. 412 on U.S. hwy. 81, then 0.5 mile east on W. Oxford (at the Garfield County Fairgrounds). Race day information is available by calling the track hotline at (580) 234-4488 or online at www.enidspeedwayparkllc.com.

You bet! I want to come Friday night. How's that weather looking David?
I know Jamie Burford from Keatchie, Louisiana (TRE Chassis) and Chris Henigan from Marshall, Texas (Kraft Kar Chassis) are headed to Centerville, Arkansas tonight to try and make that $5000 to win Razorback Nationals. Then on Friday, they are headed over to Enid.
They'll run both nights but I have to head back to Louisiana on Saturday for the Josh Lofton Memorial.
I believe Clyde Dunn said something about taking both Skyrockets (Clyde Dunn, Jr. & Tim Clonch) who ran 6th and 4th at ArkLaTex up there too.
Chase Allen from Fort Worth (8th in points), Brent Nicholson (from Houston) and hopefully, Rockin' Rodney Sanders will be there too!
Then next USMTS Southern Series will be the three tracks in the Houston area -- Motorama, Gator Motorplex and 105 Speedway -- on April 27th, 28th & 29th. They don't come back to Oklahoma again until September so don't miss the USMTS at Enid this weekend!!!

Heard that Terry Phillips and Jeremy Payne were headed for Enid this weekend. Between the them, the southern cars and those northern & Iowa cars, this could be a showdown of epic proportions!!
Weather? hmmmmm.... wonder if Sunday's an option?
Enid, OK (USMTS So. Series)
Fri 80%, Sat 30%, Sun 10%

Yes, Sunday is the raindate (fingers crossed it will not hammer Enid though) and the good thing is that it is a 7:00 PM night show, not day show. That is confirmed via the track office.

OK, if he prefers Rodney the Rocket over Rockin' Rodney so be it! As look as he keeps running this good, we'll call him whatever he likes!
But with Jesse The Rocket Hockett already out there, that gives me two Rockets to keep up with!
