McCall the family and Johnny would like everyone he is doing fine.. He is at
Arrowhead burn unit with mostly 2nd degree burns with a few 3rd around his
ankles.. Phone number to reach him at 909-580-2108 and he may also receive
visitors however they must be of age. Johnny also wanted everyone to know that
this is in noway going to be his last win and is anxious to get back into the

ITS A SHAME TO SEE SOMETHING GO FROM SOMETHING SO GOOD TO SOMETHING SO TRAGIC. SORRY TO HAVE TO SEE YOU GET AIRLIFTED OUT OF THERE.. I AM SURE WITH YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR YOU WERE PROBABLY TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT HOW BAD A$$ YOU ARE AND THAT YOU JUST WON YOUR FIRST MAIN EVENT WIN.. GET BETTER JOHNNY.

Yeah that was one scary situation. I know I can be somewhat of a jokester at times, But in all seriousness the Kid was on Fire! Litterally. It would have been better if the wheels fell off that Bit@# though. Way to Go Johnny. Glad to hear you are doing good. Cant wait to see you back out there. #36 Tom Grunkemeyer.

I just talked to johnny and he is in Good health talking and in great spirits, he wanted me to tell everyone he will be in the hospital for 7 to 14 days with surgery tomorrow, with skin graphs to follow. He will be at the next race cheering everyone on. And like the above post stated. This will not be his last victory at Victorville. Get well Little Dude. Great to hear you are doing ok.

Glad to hear he's going to be okay that was truly some scary stuff last night!!!
Hope he heals quickly and we get to see him again soon he did a awesome job of driving last night

| Body: | We just got home from the Hospital. Johnny is pretty tired. Busy day with lots of calls, text messages and visitors at the hospital. He will have surgery tomorrow on his right leg just above his ankle. We don't know what time, as he is a add on. I will let everyone know how he is doing after surgery. Thank you again for all your support, thoughts and prayers. |

Johnny is in recovery now from his surgery today. He had skin graphs on 5 parts of his body. He is well and he is resting now. Ill let you know when i hear more.. Thanks for everyones prayers...

BUT I MUST SAY IF YOU LOOK AT WWW.ONEDIRT.COM ALOT OF OUR LOCAL RACERS (OLDER GENERATION) ARE SAYING WE NEED TO TAKE THE MATTER INTO OUR OWN HANDS AND EITHER DEAL WITH IT OR MAKE OUR OWN CARS SAFER.. WELL HARD TO DO ON A SPRINT CAR.. SOME PEOPLE JUST DONT GET IT.. BUT I MUST SAY I HAVE TRIED TO HELP IN THIS MATTER AND VAR HAS NOT POSTED ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SO I AM ASSUMING A THEY EITHER A DONT CARE. OR B THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO SPEND ANY MONEY. OR C THEY ARE NOT EVEN WILLING TO ASK FOR HELP.
