Stevie Smith Ready for Busy All Star Weekend

By: Joe Burrage

Tower City, Pennsylvania (September 3, 2009) - Stevie Smith and the Zemco Team have flown under the radar the past few weeks. The team has been busy gearing up for the three day All Star Circuit of Champions weekend which kicks off this Friday night at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Last time Stevie Smith raced at the historic facility he was able to pocket the second $15,000 to win feature against the World of Outlaws during the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup back in July.

On Saturday, September 5th Stevie Smith and the Zemco No.1 sprinter will make a rare late season appearance at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Smith has had a tremendous amount of success at the entertaining 1/3 mile over the years. The New Oxford, Pennsylvania driver has posted three total wins during his stellar racing career; his most recent wins came back in 2005 driving his own No.19 machine and Smith was able to claim the always coveted Brad Doty Classic, and the other victory was an All Star feature win.

Smith and the Zemco Team will finish off the weekend on Sunday, September 6th at the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio. Hilltop Speedway and Stevie Smith have a very good relationship going right now; as a matter of fact Smith has a perfect winning percentage at the 3/8 mile, the veteran driver is two for two in All Star competition at Hilltop Speedway. Smith was able to grab his second feature win at the high banks back in July during the very competitive Ohio Speedweek. Smith was able to run down early race leader Tim Shaffer on lap-12, from there Smith kept the John and PeeWee Zemaitis owned Zemco Headers No.1 out of trouble to bring home the first of two Ohio Speedweek wins.

Stevie Smith and the Zemco Team have had a great year and hope to keep things rolling this weekend. Be sure to check www.zemcospeed.com for the latest information, scheduling, and updates regarding Stevie Smith and the Zemco Team.

It really is awesome to see Stevie Smith having success this year. He is a class act and, in my humble opinion, one of the best drivers out there. Hope his success continues the rest of the year for him and the ZEMCO team.

Agree 100%! I will be shocked if he doesn't win at least one race this weekend considering how well he runs at Lernerville and in Ohio. Go Bandit!!!

It is great to see Stevie return to the success he once had! It was never him the past few years, he just needed the car and now he has it.
