They only had the three races run on Saturday night. They didn't stay to tape Sunday's finale.

why was it shown on the scchedule for tonight on speed then???

What did you expect them to rebroadcast?....like the scribe says. they weren't there Sunday!

No B or A footage = no broadcast. Not sure why you thought they had anything to put on.

When did you receive your cable guide? Those things are printed in advance and they're not going to suddenly make all new ones because one channel changed it's programming.

They aren't "printed in advance" they are an electronic program guide that gets updated every night. Most cable systems use the same info put out by one or two companies. Mine also showed it was supposed to be on last night however if you checked the Speed website it showed Pinks. Sucks that no one stuck around to film it, all week I avoided any details other than that Schatz had won.

At least I'll be able to see them here in person tonight.:-)

instead of just slamming speed channel, why don't some of you stop and think of the circumstances and try to understand things. the show schedules that appear on our tv's are based on the info recieved from each channel, usually a week or more in advance. they are not usually changed or updated when a channel's scheduled programming changes at the last minute. for example, when the nascar races have been rained out on sunday recently, they have been rescheduled for monday but no change is noted in the program guide. so you can't blame speed for that. as noted, speeds program line up on their site was correct. that is all they are in control of. as for speed not staying to film the B and A of the nationals, you need to find out what their contract was and if they were asked to stay or not. it is very possible they were not asked to stay. also it is possible that crew was also commited to be somewhere else on sun. when i say crew i mean the off camera film crew, not the on camera talent. do you all really think that speed just walked out on cappy for no good reason, against his wishes, and he did nothing about it? c'mon people wise up. also i hear a lot of people complaining about the nationals being on tv. well it wasn't so wtf. people bitch about everything, then they bitch about it when it is changed, then they complain it wasn't done the way they wanted when it WAS changed. when i am at the track and when the show is on tv, i don't really notice much difference from when it is not. we all know what the time window for the program will be when it is on tv. sometimes they have to hurry the show in places and sometimes they have to slow it in places, but over all it is not that big of a deal. yet people bitch to the heavens. the red flag fuel stop did not even really materialize this year as it was inserted as seemless as possible into a naturally occuring yellow flag. the race was not un-natually interupted or the pace altered because of it. yet people still are crying about how it ruined the race. people are crying that going to 40 laps just handed the race to donny since he was not leading with 10 to go. well guess what people, donny wasn't the only driver out there who knew the race was 40 laps! they didn't tell just him! if the race was 50 laps he probably would not have been leading on lap 40, and if it was 30 laps you can bet he would have been leading on lap 29! we can all find things that are not to our exact likeing, but can't some of you people just watch the race and enjoy it? it is one thing to comment on how you think something could have been done differently vs slamming the program and the promoters and anyone else involved.

Well I plan to be there next year and film it Myself. That will take care of that. I will film the entire week of the 410's.

Like more than a few of you, I don't get what the big problem is about this speed channel deal. The speed channel has been gone for all practical purpose for some time now.

Now if you put Jeff from raceway video in charge of production ( all Jeff with one camera now) and let him pick a race of the week, it would work. http://www.racewayvideo.com/ check out his clips from his site, on the left... The man has honed his skills over the years with a video camera, and he has instincts to know where the action is.

That's why I don't "own" a DVR. Besides the fact it's like renting a VCR for life, they also run off of the program guides, as which you can see, aren't always accurate.

I tried buying a DVD recorder, but I can't record anything off of Speed, (not even NASCAR practice or Speed Report), because it's Copywrited Material.

So I use my old VCR. When I can no longer buy a VCR, (they start at $250 now) then I will have to bend over and get a DVR.
