Prescott Valley Raceway Hosts another Sprint Car Show This Weekend!
This Saturday August 22nd Prescott Valley Raceway is hosting the Second Open Comp Sprint Car Show of the year. Mountain Valley Performance, Motion Racing Engineering, and ABC Body Shop have teamed up to bring $1000.00 to the Winner of the Main Event.
The last Open Comp Show was met with success here in Prescott Valley. The stands were packed with fans from all over Arizona, and the pits were buzzing with entries from all sprint car divisions. The Friday night show was filled with good racing, and the track held out well right to the end. Andy Reinbold would hold off the diversified field to take the checker in the number one spot. Saturday night's Main Event featured a full field of cars and the racing went to the bottom of the track early as a result of a water truck malfunction early in the evening. Even so, the fans were not disappointed, and they were on their feet as RJ Johnson crossed the line with the victory followed by Stevie Sussex, then Steve Sussex Senior.
Again as last time, all sprint car divisions are welcome, from 305 spec sprints, to 410's to join in this opportunity to show Northern Arizona what Sprint Car Racing is all about. Challenge Cup Sprint Cars and 305 Spec Sprints will be awarded a $50.00 bonus for the top finisher in the Main Event. Pill draw will be $20.00 per entry which will also be added to the purse.
A good field of cars is anticipated, along with cool weather and good track conditions. The Sprint Cars will be running with other divisions as well. AMA/AODC Pure Stocks, and Mini Stocks will be on hand to round off a complete night of racing fun. Racing starts at 7:30.
