Many years before anyone else had even thought of a 'downtube frame'. '74 .This guy really had it goin on. He had downtubes, both directions,,,, Were it ran in WI they called it the 'swingset car' , back in the day. After this car, with much more refined configuration He passed Mr Steve Kinser at the Knoxville Nats,. one year,, Any guesses? I am thinking the hood on this is were Karl got the idea for SK's 'submarine hood' they ran for a year or so,,,

I thought Carmen was from Illinois and had a full beard.

That pic looks like it was from the 70's. Carmen brought his full beard and one-eyed dog to the Nationals in the mid-80s. I'm pretty sure that's him.... cool dude

Looking at the eyebrows, that's gotta be Carmen. He looked like a crazy MF'er with the full beard and all, but he was a super nice guy.

500 inch big block with a little NOS helped. That car was a tank but fun to watch. Spare chassis was still in the back of dixon auto a few years back.
