I'll be posting live updates from the All Stars race at Huset's Speedway tonight at www.twitter.com/sprintcarking.

i was going to point out that the All-Stars have their own twitter page but getting updates from them is like this place going a week without a "what's wrong with the 20 car?" thread. It doesn't happen very often.

This is much better than the Twitter link. Thanks Pushin the Cushin!

I thought the show was terrible. I know the rain was coming but why not try to get in the 40 laps instead of cutting it to 30. They didn't even draw for the top six spots and what happened to weighing the cars after the race.

1. McCarl

2. Hafertepe Jr.

3. Tim Shaffer

Only fourteen cars finished the race. Five cars wrecked at the start of the race by the flag stand. McCarl didn't have to face much lapped traffic untill the last few laps when Shaffer and Hafertepe Jr. pulled in close with Hafertepe Jr. passing Shaffer on the last turn.

Not sure how you can call that show "terrible." You say they didn't draw for the top six, but they did so out back while the b-feature was running.

The All-Stars cut the race back to 30 laps, and notified all the teams well before the A-feature. It was cut because there was a legitimate concern that there was no way we'd even get 20 laps in (needed to get halfway to complete "the show"wink, so that's why they made the decision to cut the race down. In fact, as the feature was pushing off, it was pouring rain just a mile south of the track.

Could mean with only 11 cars finishing........a lot of wreckage, Bruce shredding a left rear tire and Jake ending up by the inside wall at the checkers. I wouldn't call it a terrible show, just not a lot of passing. Maybe a drier track would have helped in that area. The way it turned out, all 40 laps could have been run but who can guess at the weather? wink

I also think maybe McCarl was glad that the race wasn't 40 laps. It sure looked like both Hafertepe and Schaffer were faster in the end. But, catching is one thing, passing is another.
