George Fisher posted on Pitgate when people started asking these same questions. This is from memory, so if it's wrong I apologize.
They hurt a motor at Hartford, MI then hurt a 2nd motor right after that. The motor they ran the King's Royal with was pieced together from from the good parts left over from those 2 motors. That motor then blew at Lernerville. They're waiting on the parts to get another motor put together. Fisher's team is not a high dollar operation.

If that is true about Blaney only having one motor, then it is simply amazing how much he has accomplished with limited resources driving for Fisher. You would think his brother Charlie would lend the team an engine. That is, I am assuming the team runs a Charlie Fisher built engine.

They changed an engine at Waynesfield during the speedweek show. So that and the one at Hartford are probably there two engines. That sucks Dale can get the job done without a doubt. I was looking forward to see how he did at the Nationals this year.

I don't believe that Charlie Fisher and George Fisher are related. George builds his own motors.
Charlie Fisher's brother is Dave Fisher...now better known as Sarah Fisher's Dad.

Yes, George Charlie & Dave are brothers, with a ton of talent I might add. George has done his own motors for the most part the past few years and he has done a great job, although from time to time I know that he and Charlie work together and I am sure that Dave has some input also. I believe that Charlie & George worked together on the motor in the car for the Kings Royal and that the heads on that motor were from Charlies shop. Too bad they did not get the $50,000.00 from that race. I am sure George would have invested it back into the operation.

I stand corrected. I hadn't ever heard that George was related to Charlie and Dave.

I find it hard to believe that Blaney will come to the Nationals. Last year he was strong with the All-Stars and said he was not going to the Nationals because it tears up to much equipment. They are a very low funded team and Dale does great with what he is given but after blowing two motors, I would love to see them at the Nationals, but won't be surprised if they aren't there.

I remember last year being attacked on this board when I mentioned that most allstar teams couldn't afford something like this to happen. The people that came after me in that thread "informed" me that I didn't know what the hell I was talking about and Blaney's team had all kinds of motor ect.....
Where are they now that reality has taken a shot to their statements?

According to Dale at the Kings Royal, they will be racing at Knoxville for the Nationals.

To bad Dale doesn't have a rich brother that could buy him a couple motors. Maybe Dave could finish a Napcar race and win enough money to buy one.

I just checked and the team that Dave is driving for has made 1,384,000.00 in price money this year to date. Even if Dave only gets 30% I would call that a rich brother.
