Hi fans,

I just wanted to let all of you know about Huset's Speedway Hall of Fame Night, Sunday, August 23rd.

This is a night that is normally in July, but as we all know with the rain all summer, this has not been a normal summer. So in cooperation with Huset's Speedway and The Hall of Fame Committee, we were able to schedule this grand night for Sunday, August 23rd.

Who is going in you ask? AH AH AH, not so fast. The Hall of Fame Committee will be announcing the Class of 2009 on Mark Tassler's Radio Show, Race Track LIVE on AM 1000, KXRB on Monday, August 17th. Let's just put it to you this way, this is another OUTSTANDING class and some of the new inductees will make you say WOW!

We hope you can join us for the radio show either in person at Borrowed Bucks in Sioux Falls, on the air on AM 1000 KXRB, on line at www.kxrb.com and of course, at Hall of Fame Night at Huset's Speedway on Sunday, August 23rd at 7PM.

Something new this year that we as a committee are excited about, this is your chance to make your voice heard. If you have someone you would like to nominate for future consideration in the Huset's Speedway Hall of Fame, just send an e-mail to [email protected]

The following criteria will be used for consideration:

1. Participant (owner, driver, sponsor, mechanic, builder, media, fan, etc) at Huset's Speedway for at least one full year.

2. Must be retired from racing for at least 5 years, or is at least 50 years of age.

3. Can not be incarcerated or a convicted felon.

If you have any people you would like to nominate or if you have any suggustions or ideas you would like to present to the committee, just send them in e-mail form to [email protected]

Thank you and we'll see you at Hall of Fame Night, Sunday, August 23rd at Huset's Speedway.

Sincerely,

Rod Pattison
Huset's Speedway Hall of Fame Committee Chair

Ain't that the truth! Svoboda has been less than stellar this year as he's always asking the same damn questions and not informing us about cars that have had problems. I also miss the in-depth reporting down there to use in my report from Hot Rod. We need ya back for a night (or more)!

And don't kid yourself Wertz. You'll be lucky to see a race before Santa runs over Mickey Mouse with his sleigh down there at your "Winter Wonderland" called Florida. Unless you change your mind and decide to bring my 12 pack of Landshark at the Nationals.

Big J almost got a shout out from this announcer this last week. I believe I saw "the report" getting a bit personal with a female friend during the "beer grader" break. And if it wasn't Big J, kudos to whoever it was.

Maybe it is just me taking my Sprint Car racing to seriously but last week was a good example of where we needed Hot Rod.. Because there was 4-5 cars that didnt come back out for the "A". Why? Would anyone have known that T-Mac broke a spark plug if he himself didnt tell us? Is this me getting greedy with getting spoiled by Hot Rod and Nascar coverage that is over the top that we know if a drivers foot is getting hot from the heat from the headers? To demanding? Or should we expect "Hot Rod" coverage at Husets? I just remember the 50/50 ticket drawing and Hot Rod there with a whole sheet with the run down of what was happening.. Man I miss that..

Big J what does Huset's and Disneyworld have in common?

They are both Mickey Mouse Operations

I may hit East Bay at the end of August and who knows where I might turn up in the Midwest yet this year...

Miss ya there Hot Rod.

I can guarantee you that Hot Rod wouldve had his nose right in the 1/11M and 4 car last week during that motor change. Kudos to TRoy for making that motor change happen. Those guys were frantic to get it changed in between the wrecker pulling motors and being needed on the track.

Hot Rod flys around the pits, looking for anything to give us in the stands.

Glad to know you had a bird's eye view during the beer grader break there Shawn!

LMAO Wertz, and if you haven't already, make sure you keep giving Goofy my best regards down there!

In all seriousness, I think its wonderful Hot Rod is spending his Sunday's with his family instead of spending them at the track.. even though he is definitely missed on the mike. We'll see ya at Knoxville and on HoF night.
