If I'm not mistaken Tony Stewart has never driven a 410 winged sprint. He's always said in all his interviews that he was never ready to take on a 410 winged sprint. I guess he's ready now, good for him.

I can't say for sure whether he has actually raced (with other cars on the track at the same time) in a winged 410, but I know he has definitely driven them from time to time. Whenever his teams go to test (#15 & #20) he usually straps in to a backup car and tests as well. In fact, as the story goes, last year they were testing somewhere and Tony actually had the best times of the 3 drivers. Schatz has actually admitted it before during interviews.
Tony is basically doing this to support Dave and the rest of the Blaney family as they lost their father, Lou, earlier this year. Lou was a legend around Ohio/PA and was a famed sprint car driver before going on to a Hall of Fame big block modified career. This will be the first "Lou Blaney Classic" featuring the 410 sprint cars & big block modifieds, the divisions Lou ran during his storied career.
I think it's awesome that Tony & Kasey would do this for their good friend and it should be a big turn out of both fans & cars.

Didn't Tony race with the MASS series in Indiana about 5 years ago?
In any event, this will be a great tribute to a good man.
