I realize that when I post my press releases on here that it all runs together for some reason. So, I am now posting my press releases on the press release page of my website at www.oklahomatidbits.com.
Now added is my press release for this coming weekends "Showdown in the Heartland," featuring the NCRA and MARS late model series begining Friday night at Brill, Saturday night in Wichita and Sunday night in Monett. You will find some "tidbits" that you may find interesting.
I will do a special press release with information just for the Meeker show and post it here in the next day or so.
Enjoy!

What do you guys, that are familiar with Brill, think the track will do with the late models running on it?Is it normally racy?I know you can never tell but what does it usally do at the end of the night.

I saw that a driver from Grand Junction Colorado is suppose to be there.

The term "wreckers or checkers" comes to mind when thinking about Boen.I LOVE to watch him run!Anderson and Berck are also very good drivers. Not leaving out Purkey, but he runs the MLRA mainly.imho

Mark does have a pond right next to the track.

The whole evening of racing would have been great but for the driver's complaints about the track during intermission.
Mark put water on the track then spent nearly an hour grading it off again (again at the request of the drivers according to the announcer)....the track sure looked good from where we were sitting before all that....the long delay took some of the enjoyment out of the race...made for a very late night.
I was very happy to see so many in the grandstands, hope they all come back again!

Well I talk to a few people after the races and the drivers asked for a small amount of water as was told to me by someone. I talked to a driver and he said that after Mark put the water on the track he was worried about hitting the wall because it was so slick with the amount of water on the track and this was a driver that was in the A.
As I told people in the stands and in the pits think what you may about Mark but he tries to please the drivers. Although the track tomorrow might be a different story.
The intermission sucked but the racing was very good. You do have to remember that most of the drivers were at least a good 3 hours from home so a little PR work in regards to track prep would not hurt. The late models put on a show and the drivers I talked to seemed to enjoyed it.

Per Mark afrter the races--He did what NCRA/MARS requested, putting water on the top. Sounded like he did so reluctantly, but thats what they wanted.
Great A feature though. Love seeing the late models run & I really enjoyed it .
Great job by Mark and all the staff at Brill Mtr Speedway

This was one of the coolest nights of racing we've ever been to anywhere. Great job by everyone on a very hot night. Larry (Announcer) and Brian the NCRA announcer made the best out of the long break with music and good comments. And it's not every race night you get to hear Larry sing! All in all this was a great show. Full stands and a full parking lot along with good fans made a fun night.
