Very rough and incomplete, the lapped traffic at the finish made anyone without electronic scoring guessing.

Check with the www.IRASprints.Org site later this morning for the official deal.

Alden with the lead out of turn 2 over Haeni, Klumb, Kristan and Daun. Klumb slows blowing smoke out of turn 4 for the nights first caution. He pushed into the infield, done for the night. Haeni takes the lead on the restart out of turn 4, but Alden is able to fend off replacement teammate for the remaining laps. Other than Borland taking Daun for the 5th spot, Schroeder is lapped in the final lap.

Young into the lead over Spitz, Reinke, Emme and Bartz out of turn 2. Bartz takes the transfer spot using the low line through turns 3-4 on the 2nd lap. Reinke moved into the 2nd spot in the same lane next time around. The Yellow is out on the 5th lap after Spitz slows to a stop with the bottom half of the engine in a small flame. He was Ok, towed to the pit and done for the night. Young and Reinke swap the lead momentarily on the restart until another issue with Young this season as he suffers a shredded right rear. No guaranteed work area, so he is done. From that restart, only VanDerVere taking the 5th spot using the low line of turns 1-2 did the order change.

Terry McCarl wins his 8th career IRA A Feature.

A Feature (30 Laps)

Alternate Andy Hunt.
Lap leaders: Mike Reinke 1-9; Terry McCarl 10-30.

Not sure why Fehrman is starting as far back as he is. Should be 12th. Reinke into the lead over McCarl, S. Uttech, Kertscher, D. Uttech, Meyer and Biertzer out of turn 2. The Yellow is out on the 3rd lap after Haeni busts a 360 spin keeping it fired. Kristan was an early exit with an engine issue. Reinke, McCarl, S. Uttech, Kertscher, D. Uttech, Biertzer, Meyer, Goeden, Balog to the restart. Kertscher into the 3rd spot using the low line through turns 1-2 on that restart. Biertzer into the 4th spot from S. Uttech on the 5th lap out of turn 4. Reinke catches the crowded tail end of the field. By the 8th lap, Balog is running on the Top-5. McCarl takes the lead in heavy traffic around the 10th lap. Kertscher moved into the 2nd I heavy congestion not too soon after that. By half-way, McCarl leads Kertscher, Reinke, Balog, Biertzer, Goeden, Neitzel, Young, Meyer, D. Uttech and S. Uttech in heavy traffic. The Yellow is out on 16th lap after Young spins to a stall in turn 4. Restart running order loaded with lapped traffic: McCarl (Bartz) Kertscher (Daun) Reinke, Balog, (Warren) (Symoens) Goeden (Alden) Biertzer (Borland) Neitzel, S. Uttech and Meyer as the Top-10. Reinke retakes the 2nd spot for a lap-or-two as Kertscher gets back on the 17th lap. Yellow is out on the 18th lap after Mock busts a series of 360 spins through turns 3-4 and stalls. He joins Balog and Goeden in the work area for tire issues. All are able to restart. Goeden and Balog rejoin the field as the last two cars on the lead lap. So not all that bad. McCarl catches the tail end of the field again on the 21st lap as Kertscher and Reinke continue to swap the 2nd spot depending on who made the better lane choice in the traffic. By the 26th lap, Kertscher had his best chance of the night moving in on McCarl and was nearly on the Big Game Tail tank until McCarl finds a seam and clears some traffic securing his second IRA Feature win of the season. Reinke sniped Kertscher at the Checkers for the runner-up amid heavy traffic. Balog and Goeden made quick work of the field with fresher rubber and salvage decent finishes.

Overall good night, Not a single Red which was great. Track was not a dustbowl and plenty of racing action into-and-through a very congested track with the lapped traffic. Didn’t widen out as much as expected.

Next IRA race is up at Cedar Lake Speedway on June 19th-20th for The Masters.
