Topic: Another vintage get together in Wichita Falls

The Wichita Falls group is looking at a possible September/ October date.Saturday morning car show with street rods ,hotrods,vintage racecars and mini sprints.Saturday night we will run a show with us and the minisprints.Sunday will be for vintage cars, we will have lunch on Sunday(BBQ?).There will be plenty of track time. We have street rod and hotrod guys organizing the car show and awards. The track promoter will organize the mini sprints(pay down).Vintage Oval racing magazine will be there taking pictures.There will be a small charge this time to cover track cost/food with the left over money to be donated to the Hospice of Wichita Falls. At this time we just need to know if anybody is interested.

We should be there with two cars unless something comes up with our business. We had a good time at the last race and we want to support the vintage show in Texas. Again thanks

I already had you penciled in for a couple of cars, as of this morning we already have about 22 cars lined up.This should be fun.

Now he is running Winged 600cc and 600cc Restricted,he is waiting to see how much interest there is before adding any other classes.

Yes, I want to be there too. I have a farmtruck motor with an rv cam and I had a blast driving on that track! 3 months of warm weather will give me time to get the coupe ready too.
Making our presence known at Ada May 30th would put somejuice into this event too.

I am getting phone calls and e-mails from street rod guys that want to make some laps ,this is not a problem we can work them in .At this point if you have a car you are proud of and want to make some laps you are welcome.we will be firming up an exact date in the next couple of weeks.

We have an official date of October 17 at Texhoma Speedway in Wichita Falls.We will have a car show at the track during the day (Vintage racecars,Hotrods ,Streetrods and Ratrods) with all the track time anyone could want.Cost will be $25.00 for car and driver and $5.00 a head for everyone else to cover track cost .We will have dash plaques for everyone that gets on the track and makes some laps ,we are also working with the local BCI to get motel discounts.Money collected at the event will be donated to the Hospice of Wichita Falls.What we need is a head count and a car count to insure we have enough of everything.
