due to the rain we've had and the forecast of more inclement weather tonight and tomorrow, the OCRS/Harold Leep jr. memorial portion of Saturday's races at Oklahoma Sports park have been postponed until may 30th. racers in the regular weekly classes should keep in touch with track personnel for the status of Saturday nights regular races

communists
communists I tell you.
A lil bit of rain never hurt anyone. So what if the heavy haulers got stuck - they could just keep racing for like 36 hours while the pits dry out........it could have been great fun - but not anymore!
joking obviously. Whereas a great sprint race is just that - an Angels and Demons backup plan was in the works........but now I am kind of thinkin Cowtown lol

The determination to get this show in and come back next year is strong as ever. The raindate we have turns out to coincide with 2 dates Kansas Antique Racers has and we Lose a few cars there.
Now then, I know the HARDCORE GROUP in our area that is into the old race cars. I am learning who will and who won't show up. Still, the core is solid and the work is to make this show and a few others to grow. It goes with the times, you'll see if you haven't already.
This movement has been coming for a long time and we ain't 'bout throw in the towel, we might need it for a greaserag.
See you May 30th.

hey Brian - ya'll should get SFS (lanny) to have ya'll out on a proper date. It could only be great for all involved. I would be suprised if he weren't open to it - considering his illustrious history/career.
An ASCS night would be best (only 3 classes). Who knows maybe it could work out real well....
Not tryin to interject to replace the Harold Leep Memorial - just saying it could be another really cool opportunity for "youngsters" (ie under 30 lol) to see what our parents/grandparents saw and what shaped the great racin' we see today

I am 34 and I remmeber Bickle's car from back in the day. I always thought that car was cool.

I want to talk, but I cannot. I have nothing in my plans about it these days. I love the speedway in OkC, my home track is Lawton, love it too. Yes there is a way.
