Here's the one that opened a lot of peoples eyes.
Courtney "Roger" Shuur of Fridley,MN. If you don't know the story, the link is right here.

I was not there, didn't even know I was getting into this movement then. But, I keep hearing first hand stories about this deal. He was heard stating he was going straight to the front, yet in one hour he was going straight to the morgue.Like the rest of us, he had own assumptions as to what the show was about, or what it should be. It didn't pay so well for him, AND the reverberations throughout the movement were wild. Insurance companies were all over it.
ONE MAN THAT COULD NOT DISCIPLINE HIMSELF, PUT AT RISK AN ENTIRE GROUP.
Worse still, was the case for parading and not driving these cars to an enjoyable level. It gained strength, and the very hint of a race, heads up-no holds barred, hurts overall car counts. That in turn hurts the growth of the movement itself. There has got to be a balance that most of our mindsets can comprimise with.
--One of the things that helped to stop the OkC show for this past April, was the fear of an all out race to the front. It was a rumor that wouldn't stop. The initial excitement then went quiet, and on the other side things were coming in such a way that the end result would have been a one time deal. The way things were lining up at the time, what I've learned since then, I will now admit, it was too early for us to be at OkC.

Brian: I do not know what you are trying to ceate at this show. In my opinon there needs to be no hint of a race, we at KAR post no winners only attendence. We do not put on a race we put on a show, there is plenty going on like someone pulling along side of you and not wanting to race them. I was there that night at Knoxville, they were not giving each other no room. There is a group that runs up North if anyone wants to race. Tom Barclay & I went up there to there Vintage Nats. we pulled in and a group came over and was looking over our cars. One guy looked at me and said you don't have enough nerf bars on there to run with us. I told him ok and left my sedan on the trailer and left the next day. This is suppose to be fun for all that is there, not a competition. This my opinon, Dwane

Tearing up our cars either in Kansas or here is an absolute no-no. Always has been.

Not so sure about that. It's time for someone else to carry this load.
