FRC is up to $10K, but no comment on a rise in purse I guess...

I did notice the rise from $5k to $10k for the FRC, which notably is the more heavily attended of the two shows. We'll see if the nonwinged fans show us differently this year as there will be two topless shows for them to attend within 2 days and 26 miles.

So, Savage, what is the big theme this year at the FRC? I think I might be the designated driver for the 8-stool golf cart and I want to look just right.

It looks like on the link ticket prices stayed the same ... I applaud McCarl for not raising them in this economic climate. Still some funky fun, different action for the bucks. That is right isn't it Bill W. ??? (the same prices)

I think it is a smart move to up the purse for the FRC. It has been 5k for its existence and the 10k bump should help get more all stars and WoO guys to show. I am not sureshow how the WoO agreement works and it may be that they cannot race at all in the FRC . As far as the UC goes why pay 30k its already a USAC sanctioned race and the USAC point racers have to show. I just wish there was a track better than OSKY to race this at. If I was the southern iowa fairboard I would re-do that place and shorten it down to a 3/8 and put some bank in it.

More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

I'm certianly not an expert on the WoO agreement, but since the nationals is not sanctioned, I'm guessing it would be ok for any outlaw driver to appear

I believe the agreement is that the Outlaws can only run at tracks that sanction Outlaw races. Therefore, Knoxville is acceptable and Osky is out. Unless it's changed again. Smile

I believe it's been discussed previously, but Osky will not fall under the new WoO rule. All drivers will be eligible to compete.
