They're estimating between 18-22 at most of the races this first season. More information will be coming out in the weeks leading up to the season.

Don't shoot me, I'm just one of the messengers trying to help get the word out...

I can't wait for the non wing shows! First non wing show in Minnesota since the 1980's??

I would guess you'll see Richert, Lund, Barickman, Lutz, Kouba, Nelson, and Norem on a regular basis.

There has been non wing racing at Jackson, Worthington, and Slayton . HRA out of South Dakota raced at all of these tracks , and Jackson had non wings at the Nationals for a few years too.

No UMSS is not non-wing, but there will be 4 non-wing shows at the end of the year.

At least two from just last season...

Old School, Doug Martens won a 360 Non Wing show at Slayton.

June 13, 2008

Also, the Heartland bunch showed up at Worthington on September 7th with Clint Garner taking the win.

What he meant was that we're going to have them up here by the Cities and let everyone else drive a couple hundred miles and foot the motel bill for a change. wink99

Just a name correction, its Cody Hahn not Kody. That is me and I plan on racing as many UMSS shows as my budget can handle. I just fired the motor yesterday and I'm growing very excited!

Hopefully all these series won't hurt the local weekly races that are having a hard enough times as it is keeping Sprint Cars on a weekly basis. But I am sure it will.JMO

I wonder if we will see two of the hottest shoes from the IRA drop a 360 in and run some of these local shows. I am talking about Whitney and Balog. I don't know if Travis has a 360, but hasn't he done some hired gun racing for some local teams in the past? Balog ran some 360 shows around here two years ago and had some success at it. Don't know if he is planning on defending his IRA championship or not this year. Either one of these guys would be a treat to see with the UMSS.

Wouldn't it be fun to see Mike Rich back in a 360 too? It was always fun to watch him rim ride around CLS back in the Wissota days.

Do the Kamarath guys still have cars?

Cedar Lake is 103 miles from Arlington, 160 from Redwood Falls & 218 from Jackson.

The other tracks on the UMSS Schedule are further yet.

Not exactly what most folks would call "LOCAL"!

its just to bad imca cars  will  leave the imca to race umss! i dont understand how umss can pay so much more then the imca tracks!! i know a few who will go where the money is!! imca just needs to wake up and pay the same!i think its only 400 to win! thats the same as the stock cars get!HMM wonder who brings the  the most fans?you can see after the sprint race over half of the stand leave!! its about time the sprints can race for some money!!i think the umss is 700 to win almost 2x what imca pays for about the same car !!!

If the racers are stupid enough to race for $400.00 than why would a promoter raise his purse???  I've said this forever.  If you depend on the purse to finance your your race car you need to find another hobby.  The UMSS should have no influence on the cars at Jackson.  Still no word from Joe on if he will unretire to run the new series.  And how about it Chuck,  the old # 80 Justice Brothers car coming out of the shed?
