Something we've been keeping up with has been the modifications to Antioch Speedway and here's a link to some pics. Really excited that they've put some work into it and it should be a big improvement to the overall winged sprint car racing there.

I looked at all the pictures and am soo glad that are changing the place! I am looking forward to seeing the changes in person for the GSC race April 4th! I know people complain about Antioch, but we have to give them credit for trying to make the place better
It also says that the track is looking for cooks and cashiers and I hope they hire some before April because they need more help to make the lines go faster, he he! If you have been to Antioch you know what I am talking about
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

So are they widening it or lengthening it? Or both? Looks like they are putting back the banking they took out.

Interesting...but why are the improvements not being promoted by the track promoter? There isn't anything about it even on their website, except for the photos hidden away.

Antioch has the longest beer lines in NorCal. Please hire more servers and/or open up more beer stands. The last GSC race the line was 50 people deep (no joke). We each bought two so we didn't have to go back .... at least for a little while. This is the only race we take the bart to, then a $20 cab ride. Since no one has to drive, we have a little fun.

Hey now I wonder what has prompted any changes to the Yach'. All we ask for is the return of the banking into both corners, and the lip they had in turn 1. I recommend stopping for food on 10th st. before you get 2 the races... NOT

Whatever they are doing, it's great news. Antoich has not produced the best racing for 410 sprint cars over the past few years. They almost race the track like an asphalt track ... hug the bottom and try to get you nose under the car in front of your for a pass. Very tough to pass on the outside.
The $20 for the cab sucks but it's split between four or five guys so it's not too bad.

I just hope it is better that it was in the last few years! It looks like I might be going to Antioch late because my best friend is having her baby shower on the same afternoon as the Antoich GSC race. Maybe Tkbigfan or Stumble can save a seat for us Thanks for checking on the progress at the track

Well I took a little walk around the track and I would say its about a 3/8 now with 20 degree banking in the corners now there is alot of new dirt so who knows what the track will be like they are just now getting the poles in for the turn 1-2 wall,

Well I just looked on Antioch's website and the track is finished and the first race is this weekend! They have added more pictures and now the website says the track is now a 3/8 mile instead of the old 1/4 mile track. I am actually excited to go to Antioch for the GSC race in a few weeks to see the new track!
