Lasoski announcement on Track Talk with The RacinBoys

'Twas the Midgets Before Christmas' will return in 2009

Kansas City, MO - December 27, 2008
By: RacinBoys.com

Based on the successful conclusion to the first-ever "Twas the Midgets Before Christmas" last weekend at Kemper Arena, co-promoter Danny Lasoski is looking forward to a second edition in 2009. "We said we would leave it up to the fans," Lasoski told listeners of "Track Talk" with the Racin Boys Saturday morning on Sports Radio 810 WHB. "We did this for the love of racing, and can't begin to thank all the people that helped put this on. We put everything we had into this, paying $10,000 to win for the first show. I'm a racer first, and I hope the fans support us next year."

Lasoski, and his partners Scott Pennington and Dennis Shrout were overwhelmed by the car count and support from the racers with over 300 entries in five classes, including over 80 midget cars. "We'll do a better job of streamlining the program and making it even better for the fans next year," Lasoski added. Tony Stewart was among the many people assisting in the effort, as well as Adriam Speedway owner Glenn Portzen who spent countless hours preparing the track surface. Watch for detailed information in the coming months on the second edition of "Twas the Midgets Before Christmas" in 2009.

they got to find some way to make that track bigger.......

I am curious, how big are these concrete domes like the Speedrome and the one they just had? I know everyone says the one in KC has to be bigger to be a good track but it seems to me the races I have seen, albeit only on TV, are not that big of a track also. Maybe with some more banking, wider turns, or something else, it would make it a good track with the limited space.

My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.
