Sorry I knew that was a bit tacky. But if OU would have taken care of what they should have had in Dallas then it would have not been a story.

Yes, Texas used Texas A&M just like OU made a statement against Tech - who beat those "mighty" Longhorns. BUT it isn't over yet! Cocky is reaching new heights in Illwater and it is time to have another "statement" game that the Sooners are still an outstanding football team.

Now then, when Texas goes to the Big 12 Championship and gets beat by Misseri, OU will backdoor itself into championship contention and will have the last laugh.

Sooners won't have to back door it. If they beat OSU they WILL be in the Big 12 Championship. No doubt. Were only down .008 in the BCS. It will be enough.

I hope but common sense doesn't always prevail you know. Perhaps Mr. Mossman can chyme in with his thoughts - probably not.

i dont know what all the fuss is about. i dont think texas did what they needed to do.

A&M is the #84 team in the country. OU was up by 4 scores at the end of the 1st quarter. texas was only up 14-3 with 30 sec. to go in the 1st half. and only 28-3 by the end of the 3rd quarter. they scored 21 pts. in trashtime in the 4th quarter when the game was already decided. o yeah - and this was AT texas not A&M....

look. OU is ahead in the human polls. what texas did last night against A&M cant change that if OU wins - it just is not plausible. there is absolutely NO REASON if OU wins - to vote texas back ahead. yes personally i didnt think the BCS standings should have been as close as they were after last week. but they were. and if OU beats the #12 team in the nation ON THE ROAD - that texas only beat by 4 at home ----- if someone would really drop them behind a team that barely covered the spread against the #84 team in the nation - AT HOME - they should have their vote priveledges taken away.

if ou wins - they cant lose ground in the human polls. and they can only GAIN ground in the computers. i dont see how this is not obvious to everyone...

but this system and its voters are known to be completely f-n retarded - I'm just saying in light of how all votes were cast last weekend - and that texas barely covered the spread against the #84 team in the land AT HOME - by all means all OU should have to do is win - in any fashion - against the #12 team in the nation - ON THE ROAD. the same team texas barely escaped over by 4 pts. all logical reason AT THIS MOMENT - suggests all OU has to do is win. because their comp #'s will only improve. and no one who voted OU ahead of texas last week could reasonably switch the 2 after this week - not if OU wins.in fact - they would only stand to gain a few votes. mark my words - if ou wins - they rep the south in the big 12 title game. it is theirs to lose right now - style points dont even matter - all they have to do is win. i'd bet on it - in fact, i already have. but its hard to expect logic from an illogical system.

and we will have this system for at least a few more years. and we have ESPN to thank for that...2nd dirtiest bastards in the business - 2nd only to the NCAA.

It doesn't matter who the Big 12 sends to the national championship game because either Florida or Alabama will win. But it's going to be great getting to see UO, I mean OU get their butts handed to them on national tv again.

Do I sense a little hostility? I believe the top 4 teams in the Big 12 South would beat Alabama. I can't wait for OU to play Florida in the NC game. The beauty of it is even if they lose (which I don't believe they will) they still made it and Texas didn't.

Texan, tuck your tail between your legs and go home. OU is going to the championship game and Texas is not. And the 7000.00 (or ever how much) that Texas paid to have the plane fly over OSU was a great investment. Big Mac (Mack Brown) can talk some more smack oon air at the Big 12 game but it doesn't matter.

I'm excited about OU making it to the big 12 championship game but I don't see how anyone can count out Alabama yet. Florida still has to win that one to get to get to the national championship game just like Bama. So........... Yah, I still hear some OSU fans talkin smack. I hear it every year tho it seems. "wait til next year". LOL Texas has a legitamate bitch tho I think. Hell so does Tech but hey they don't play on paper do they. It's to bad it turned out this way. Texas could still play in the big one if everything goes they're way. It'll be hard tho.

I second that!! If someone is honestly going to say that OU can't stand up to Florida or Bama, they are dreaming. 60+ points 4 games in a row, Heisman trophy winner, come on. It will be close but OU is not getting there ass kicked. GO SOONERS!!
