Surprisingly my penmanship was so much better during the summer months, as I could not write worth a damn during the school year....This is what I wrote in my program:

Not sure who Forbrok drove for, I wrote something next to his name on the line, but drew a squiggle through it.

Mack inherits the 2nd spot when Stevenson suffers a broken torsion tube a few laps later. ap-12: Race-long leading Dumesny suffers from a blown engine. Mack benefits one more time and receives the lead over Smith on the restart. Mack controls the remaining laps over Knoxville Season Champ, Smith as Eskuri held Carson in a good battle for the 3rd spot. Here is the Friday stuff I took. When Jack was out after the Heat wreck, I made a trip to the bathrooms out of turn 4 and most certainly added to the graffiti on them wooden doors.

Preliminary Feature (20 Laps)

Lou Kennedy Jr. [17]…Robby Unser [9]; Tom Winters [11]; Tim Baker [13]; Tommy Kamrath [20]. DNF-John Stevenson [3];
Lap leader: Doug Wolfgang 1-20.

Was there any doubt? Wolfgang is having one of the most amazing seasons having won 35 Features to-date. Just in the past month-won the Knoxville Nationals, The Eldora Nationals, The King's Royal. So who is here to stop him...He takes the lead over Tuttle at the drop of the green and was not challenged. Lap-5: Stevenson was running in the 3rd spot and like last night is forced pit side with a blown engine. Lap-8: Dumesny was running in the 3rd spot when he spins. He restarts at the tail and moved back through the field. Lap-15: Tuttle drops out of the racing groove to run the bottom line only to initially lose the spot to Green. Richert and Hodges follow suit next time around sending Tuttle to the 5th spot. Lap-20: Brahmer takes the final guaranteed spot to start 10th in tomorrows Nationals Championship from Tuttle.
