OVER $300,000 IN USAC POINT FUND BONUSES TO BE DISTRIBUTED AT JANUARY 9 “NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS”

Midget Series Fund Tops $100,000

OCTOBER 2, 2008 --- An extraordinary evening at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis has been scheduled January 9, 2009 to recognize the 2008 USAC National Champions. As part of the evening festivities, USAC will host a special and private “Champions Club” for all prior and current USAC National Champions. For the first time, this year’s event will be streamed live via the internet on USAC LIVE PIT PASS for fans to join in the celebration as USAC recognizes the Top 10 competitors for the Silver Crown, Sprint and Midget National Championships.

Driver and car owner participants in USAC’s three National racing series are competing for over $300,000 in year-end point fund bonuses announced by the United States Auto Club. The funds reflect, for the first time in history, identical funds paying $75,000 to the winning teams in each National series.

The K & N Filters Silver Crown funds represent the largest per-race postings, based on the nine scheduled events in a transitional year where the traditional pavement cars returned to the tracks for the first time since 2005.

The $75,000 payout for the Mopar National Midget Series nearly doubles the 2007 funds paid from USAC. Additionally, Toyota will pay $25,000 to the Top 10 in points, with a $100 per race contribution to the car owner, making the total Midget Series fund more than $100,000. 2008 marks the first time in the Series history to have a six figure points fund.

The Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Series based in Southern California will have a $60,000 points fund for 2008, paying out to the Top 10 in points. A West Coast awards banquet for all USAC Western Division racers is also in the planning stage.

Driver and car owner distributions will reflect a 50-50 split in each of the three National series, namely the K & N Silver Crown Series presented by Optima Batteries, the National Sprint Car Series and the Mopar National Midget Series. The “top-10” drivers and car owners in each series will share in the point funds.

These bonuses are a result of sponsorship commitments of companies like K & N Engineering of Riverside, Calif., Optima Batteries of Aurora, Colo., Mopar of Auburn Hills, Mich., Hoosier Racing Tire of Lakeville, Ind and Toyota Motors Sales, USA.

The payout for each Series will be exclusive to the Top 10 in accumulated points, with proceeds split equally among Car Entrants and Drivers. The points fund distribution will be based on the following payout percentage structure:

1st Place 30%

2nd Place 18%

3rd Place 14%

4th Place 10%

5th Place 8%

6th place 6%

7th Place 5%

8th Place 4%

9th Place 3%

10th Place 2%
