I'd say Emmett needs to get his own show regarding his business and sell his vision accordingly through that vehicle....oh, wait, he's already tried that a couple of times and there wasn't enough interest to make it work.

Tell you what I'll do though...I'd gladly set up a debate on the show between Emmett Hahn and Guy Webb and let them discuss the present and future of sprint car racing. I wonder if Emmett would consent to that...lol.

Actually, we did discuss the Fred Brownfield Memorial race tonight on the show. That's an ASCS race. I did that out of respect for Fred Brownfield, who always treated me and the show with class and respect, even when we didn't agree.

I've been doing my show for eight years now, I think I'll continue to do so the way I see fit.

Thank you for your input.

I think you've let it be known your feeling on 360 racing. Oh, wait...you always speak out of both sides of your mouth on that debate.

Last year you talked about how Dave Blaney had it right at the Sprint Car Summit that we shouldn't be worried about the future of 410 racing, 360 racing or 305 racing, we should be concered about Sprint Car Racing.

Then you complain this year on your show while talking with Guy Webb that Emmet had his Press Conference about their 2009 season during the Knoxville Nationals (which drivers from his series participated in). In fact, Wayne Johnson won a prelim night feature and Gary Wright ran 3rd on a prelim night, much better than most of the All Stars that get the same amount of track time as GW (I still consider Wayne a regular).

Is it your show, yes it is and you can do with it what you want. However, you can't say that you are concered with the future of Sprint Car Racing and then ignore certain sanctions (if you want to be considered as credible).

Please go crawl back under the rock from which you came if you are going to continue being the puppet for the World of Outlaws and All Star Circuit. I (as a fan), am concerned about SPRINT CAR RACING, not who the sanctioning body is or the politics.

IMO, the 360 racing is and has been much, MUCH, MUCHbetter racing than 410 racing (on any track size) for the last 4-5 years. The last races I am going to attend this year will be Late Models, as I don't have to worry about the debate over engine size, tire rules, etc., as they got that out of the way 15 years ago.

Just my $.02

Forget about the 360 vs. 410 debate. I would also pay to hear Mr. Hahn and Mr. Webb debate anything. Say, business or promoting. Mr. Webb would get destroyed by Mr. Hahn. Mr. Hahn has something Mr. Webb will never get in the racing community...RESPECT!

I'm not an advocate of either one, but sprintfan0 hit the nail on the head. Mr. Webbs dealings and tactics has always kept him from EARNING RESPECT. Hopefully someday the ASCOC will have better leadership.

I suppose we will hear Emmett on the full throttle show when he slides a few c-notes into Katich's pocket. Seems that whoever is paying his bills is the flavor of the week. I think people will be very impressed at the racing action presented by the ASCS on TV next year. Best race I have ever been to was the Trophy Cup in Tulare, CA and its a 360 show....racing, racing, racing. The 360 Nationals are also neck and neck in quality, better than the overall action of the 410 shows. The leaders of the 410 empire can only keep their heads in the sand so long before they are forced to make the 410 racing more competitive. Too many 1 lane races this year from WoO.

Cheers!

Everyone on here talks about 410 or 360 "winged sprint cars", those with true vision may want to look at the re-emergance of non-wing racing..under the right leadership, non wing racing could skyrocket right now...

Is it just me? I try to listen to this show because the topic is on the sport I love but I come away disappointed nearly every time. I find this show to be kind of hard to figure out. To me it seems to be some sort of ra-ra show for favorable race promoters and their staff, yet it some how still manages to be low energy and uninteresting. The one time I didn't feel that way was when a guest brought his energy to the interview and basically energized the host.

I really wish Dirtvision would produce a show that actually tried to reflect the excitement the World of Outlaws and other Sprint Car series provide their fans. Does the average race fan give a hoot about track promoters or their staff? Maybe I'm not the target audience. We fans go to the races for the action on the track and the bravado of the drivers, not to mingle with the staff or engage in politics.

WoO - Declining - The car counts across the nation are dropping. No tow money for the "loyal" teams. Sorry TV coverage. Carrying huge debt.

ASCoC - Bottomed out - The car counts are pitiful. Post dated checks. Pissed off car owners and drivers everywhere.

ASCS - On the way up - Huge corporate sponsorship. Excellent television package. Higher purses and point fund than the AscOc. Tow money. Cheaper to run.

It looks like Mr. Webb could learn a little from Mr Hahn.

Why not include Cappy in the conversation too? Since you like him so well. You could ask him when we can expect to see the ASCoC return the Knoxville.

Oh boy this could get fun. Here we go with the spin again...

"I'd say Emmett needs to get his own show regarding his business and sell his vision accordingly through that vehicle....oh, wait, he's already tried that a couple of times and there wasn't enough interest to make it work." First off, glad that you can tell Emmett what way he needs to go, I'm sure that he values your opinion. Secondly, I didn't know that he had already tried his own show as you suggested. Can you please give us specifics?

"Tell you what I'll do though...I'd gladly set up a debate on the show between Emmett Hahn and Guy Webb and let them discuss the present and future of sprint car racing." Just out of curiosity, have you ever had Emmett on your show before? If so, when and what was the conversation about and where can we find archives?

"Actually, we did discuss the Fred Brownfield Memorial race tonight on the show. That's an ASCS race. I did that out of respect for Fred Brownfield, who always treated me and the show with class and respect, even when we didn't agree." When did Emmett not treat you wiht class and respect? Is this a reference to the fact that your credentials (sp?) were not granted to the Chili Bowl?

"I've been doing my show for eight years now, I think I'll continue to do so the way I see fit." Yes you will, and that is your right. However, please remember that it is our right to expose your feeelings toward Emmett and everyone at the Bowl. You have a personal vendetta against them and everyone knows it. In fact, they have been doing the Chili Bowl for over 20 years and I guess they will continue to do it as they see fit, with or without your support.

You have more spin than my dryer, which is working overtime this week. I will give you credit for being consistent. You have it out for Emmett and try everytime you get the chance to bash him. Your timing is good as well, because you always seem to bash when I'm bored and have time to respond. However, you seem to bash and run all the time. Guess it's just your nature.

Keep spinning, I may have another weekend off!

Sweeton
