Great show! Thought Steel City Outlaw had that one in the bag but Blaney proved otherwise.

there were 35 cars checked in and 3 crashed in hot laps. it was a great show, especially for the all-stars. feature went caution free thru the first 27 laps. The 30c was tough all night until the feature and blaney and shaffer took over.

Congratulations to Mr. Blaney.

I also am glad to see that Jeremy is doing so well in Mr. Ferkel's car. I'm sure that given more seat time he'll be one of the hot shoes in the very near future. Doing a lot with one of the lower-funded teams on the circuit.

I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Pretty good night of racing. Has to be the best night Benton has seen since it reopened. Good crowd and great weather. Blaney made a real close pass on Shaffer. I thought they were going to make contact. Sammy had Dukes' car going pretty good in the featch but was not as good as Blaney, Shaffer, Hannagan and others.

Just read on another board that were some drivers that were short changed last night.  The track advertised that the race was $300 to start but The All Star's (Webb) only paid $200 to some.

One of Lance Dewease's brothers died due to carbon monoxide poisoning this week. It may have been yesterday. I heard it about last night at the Grove. There is a post regarding that on the Grove message board.

Thoughts and prayers to the Dewease family!!

Congrats to Dale on his win last night!

That's true Petey. Some got post dated checks. One driver got 2 checks written in April with a void in 90 days on them.

From what I have heard, just about every local driver got a least one check that was dated from either April or June and was void after 30 or 90 days. When they asked Guy about it, he told them to send the checks thru the bank and they would be good. My question is, If they specifically state void after 30 or 90 days then how can the checks be good?

I just have one question. I'm not looking for an arguement and I don't even care about who said/they did blah blah blah. Why is it that we only hear about this stuff going on in that general area with the allstars? I live in an area that gets more allstar shows than any other and none of this stuff is brought up around here. Wouldn't it happen here if it was happening anywhere else?

Since when are the sanctions responsible for the purse? The purses are always paid out by the track/promoter. Was Webb the promoter of this race? Or someone else?

Thats exactly what I was wondering. Unless Webb leased the track, he shouldn't have a dang thing to do with the paying the purse. If he leased it, then yes, he needs to answer to that. If he didn't, then the TRACK needs to answer for it.

Average show at best. Car count was good. But it lost points in my book because I don't enjoy seeing cars get torn up. Track was really rough. Lot of torn up equipment. I believe four drivers got upside down and a lot of other torn up stuff. Several cars pulled to the infield during the A main with no obvious car problems. Probably deemed it wasn't woth the rist. I doubt they'll be back. Likely one of the reasons they have no car count for weekly show.

DIRT, I chose not to go for several reasons. The main one being Benton. The PR people hype it up for the midwest shows, but the track is always bad. Apparantly there was a difference in the Benton ads vs. the actual payout?? If so, how could this happen? You would think the $$$$ end of things would be the first one taken care of. Are you going to Bloomington to the midwest race? It's a nice facility and is usually pretty racey. I'm going to wait and see if they release a drivers list before making up my mind. This is a midwest race to itself, not many cars follow them.
