The starts are not even close to good starts but he is too busy texting to care. Then a wreck occurs and hmm he does not use the flag just turns the light on. Why have flags if you are not going to use them. Then I have a friend that was video taping the MOd race when the 7 got black flagged and I am confused he bumped the 64 and gets a black flag but the 64 was trying to drive over the 7 and that was A ok well I guess that it obviously seems like a lot of favoritism at Lawton Speedway Does anyone even know how to get ahold of Lanny if you are a fan I ask and I am told he is not at the track. I do not blame drivers but the way the track is run I personally think it needs to be run with a flagman that his only task during races is the track not what someone is texting him about or what is going on anywhere but the track I do know that the call on the 7 he was looking at his cell phone and not the track and and when I asked a guy coming out of the tower about it they openly said the Flagman made the call... Poor running of this track and it will not be a very popular track to run at... when drivers are paying to run and a flagman making dates or whatever on a cell phone makes calls that he never even watched the track I would love to get ahold of Lanny but I am wondering if he is real please advise

The flagman made the right call with the black flag for Lucas Steele(#7). He clearly drove through Jay Sale(#64) in turn 3. You are correct that Sale had bumped him previously in the same turn, but not enough for a black flag.
Steele may not have intentionally hit him in the rear as he was sliding sideways, but it looked that way and the flagman had no choice but throw the black flag.
I also doubt if you could blame this call on favoritism since Steele's mother works for the track and was able to call the flagman down from his stand and yell at him.

I often wonder how much control the flagman at any track has these days. It's not like it once was. Any time I see them wearing a head set, I figure somebody else is calling those shots.

I dont think Steele got the flag for hitting Sale I was right behind it was a racin deal on the first lap ...I think he got the flag because he forgot to put his fuel cap on I got dowsed with about 5 gallons of methanol from the backof his car .
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Flagman doesn't make the calls, the people in the pressbox do. He is just a puppet.

I agree with KEL 1234. Calls for caution are made by others than flagman. I watched the SFS flagperson last Friday night trying to hear/understand something coming through his headset. While he was adjusting his headset and looking down, there was a Factory Stock sitting in the middle of the racing groove. The race leader entered turn #3 and could not correct enough to miss him.
I would guess they are allowed to throw the red (when someone gets upside down) with out waiting for a call, but not the yellow. JMO
