That was one of the most pothetic tracks i have ever raced on in my life .There is no reason the track should be that rough , hard pack that thing and just let it dry up a little I would rather eat a little dust compared to eatin a lot of money at the parts store replacing all of my bent crap !
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

And it has been like that for, what, four straight weeks now? The way those wingless guys slide the rear end, look for a bunch of them to go over.

we walked the track afterwards - man it was bad - just huge trenches.
hey 5CAN Mossman - you should play in the Open League - put some picks down for next fridays show in the Fantasy Open League. always lookin for new players - u dont get on much for me to mention it.
but anyhow - not to get off topic - the track still sucks the next day. what was that - that broke on your car in the heat jorski? it looked staggered like a sprint car at williams grove when you pulled off.......
was lanny even there last night?

Lanny was there last night. I saw him walk up into the stands a few times.
I tell you what if the track is like this on Wed. then the non-wing guys will never be back. I talked to one of guys I knew in the pits after the races. I told him if the track is like this Wed then the non-wing guys will load up and go home. He agreed.

OKC -- believe it or not, the NCAA prohibits us from participating in any fantasy league, even if it's just for fun! I was really tempted when I saw you guys doing that -- sounds like a lot of fun.
I am really looking forward to Wednesday -- I sure hope they get the track corrected, although after watching it like this for some time now, I'm not very optimistic. I went to the wingless race at Creek last year and even though that track is a tad bit small for a 410 (IMO), it was a heckuva show.
The sad thing about the track now is that luck in hitting a rut now rates more important or at least even to car set-up and driver skill. The finer points of the sport have almost been eliminated.

I'll tell you where he was when Mike hit the wall, out in the front parking lot and never come up to see what was goin on. He came back from the parking lot and went into his office. That track was so bad i dont even have the words to explain. I, having to go see my massage therapist this morning to get my back and shoulder put back in place after i got all four tires off the ground in turn 4!

Once up on a time, in a galaxy far away............ As soon as the races were over a human being would run a grader & rip the track 18 inchec deep, water the track & run a sheepsfoot, all before going home that night. EVERY night all week long the track was watered & prepped. And the amazing part is it was the half mile. Guess we just aren't as dedicated any more.

It is obviously easier to start at noon friday and roll the dice to see what you can come up with.

I remember those days also. Even when I was only about 5 years old. I'd sit in the stands and watch em do it while the men were getting things together in the pits. We were'nt allowed in the pits even after the races were over at that age. That was at Placerville in California. I think I said it before, that track is the reason for alot of tore up racecars. Peters' car was a mess. I don't know if anything was salvagable that was bolted to it. I helped em cut the right rear wheel to get to the nut on the axle. It all was junked out though. Obviously the officials at SFS don't give a crap about the competitors or they'd fix all this crap that goes on there.

The last few times I went to Knoxville, and it was NOT for the nationals, we had to wait for the door to the infield to be opened so that the 'grader could be brought through. They started turning it over before t before it had cooled down from the A.
