Anybody else read the Outlaws "news and notes" release and see that SK was fined 1000$ for "verbal and physical abuse" of an official at the Kings Royal?

$1000 well spent Steve!! Smile

I'd say Steve got his money's worth and the WoO did what they had to do.

Over and done with, hopefully.

The WoO officials should have been fined for letting someone (anyone) get a 3rd time trial lap under those conditions, that car was clearly out of the way.

I have followed Steve Kinser since WOO started and have never seen him complain about anything unless it needed to be complained about Steve is a champion, acts like a champion and will always be a champion.   Anyone calling Steve Kinser a cry baby doesnt know what they are talking about.  Put blame where it belongs, not on Steve Kinser.  Yes Im a Steve Kinser fan and proud of it!

Kinser as he has gotten older has become a bit of a complainer, but he's still the best there has ever been, and he's earned the right to bitch a bit.

...has been and bitch!

I couldn't agree more!!!

Race the car three races. If you don't like it , for
any reason, return it, without damage, and we'll
refund all your money, build you a new car, or better
yet, bring me someone else's design and I'll use that
to build your next ride!

There are some sprint car followers, notice I didn't say fans, that are an embarrassment to the sport. Hopefully they will mature when they grow up and turn into fans.

And just what have you accomplished in the way of sprint car racing? Or are you just another jealous blow hard? One more question, why don't you tell Steve that to his face or are you a chicken shit hiding behind a keyboard?

I am not a SK fan but come on... "has been." What an idiodic statement. The man is still winning WoO races and is a threat to win the Knoxville National again..

I was at that race. Sitting between turn 4 and the straightaway.

Saw Shotz make his qualifying run and for the life of me could not figure out why he ran low for his 2 laps.

Than I saw him run another lap and said to myself why is running another lap.

Than I saw the commotion, not knowing exactly who was involved or why.

Than the word spread that Kinser had hit (wrong) official and was asked to leave, and his packing his crap up.

Being from CA, I was hughly disappointed not to see Kinser race, (he is not always going to be around for ever)

Than right before the 1st heat, he unloads his S@$t and races.

I watch the TV show.

I still don't know why Shotz got another lap. HE DID NOT GET BLOCKED. HIS LAPS WERE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSES, except he choose the wrong line for two laps.

I can understand why Kinser got upset, he got screwd by the officials. For anyone to say he was whining, A. You don't didn't see it happen or B. You are Kinser haters

Maybe Kinser should get fined but remember he did not assult 2 officials not like some other big car owner did recently at a USAC race. And in this particular mistake by WOO, this might have cost Steve Kinser $50,000 and a chance to win a TV race and one of the biggest races of the year and at this stage of his career, he might not get that many more chances.

If somebody blantly screwed you over, AND ALSO HELPED YOUR COMPETION, you might be a little hot under the collar.

I really thought when I watched the TV replay that it would show SHotz being blocked. Officials try to make the best calls, and maybe they just made a bad decision this day.

And Kinser's action caught on TV were not good either, so a fine is called for too. But it did make for Good TV and it made for an interesting night. I wonder what would of happend if Shotz would have taken home the 50K though????? Would this story had gone away so quietly.

For the record, I never said that SK wasn't an icon in the sport. I just called him a cry baby and hell most of the best drivers out there.

Darn....

Just a few days after the original post on the Eldora brouhaha finally rolled onto the second or third page....did someone, anyone, feel a need to pick this scab open again? It's been over for two+ weeks, people.

I'm not siding with Steve, or Donnie, or the WoO officials; when I listened to Carlton Reimers on John Katich's show, he explained the call clearly enough for me. IT WAS A JUDGMENT CALL made by several officials according to Reimers. The fact that Steve, Chad, or anyone else didn't agree with the call is OK by me,too. But continuing to harangue anyone about the call is totally counterproductive - it won't change the call, Schatz's lap time, or Steve's fine...And like I said previously, Steve has had more than his share of calls in the past; so IF the WoO missed one, or made a bad one, so what?

It;s time to let it go people....please, let it go!

And all of you WoO bashers and haters, jsut remember - there's no one else out there regularly scheduling $10K to win races and a $400+K point fund...if the WoO goes away, most of the Outlaws will end racing locally(home) for $4K to win - at most...

The guy is jealous of the #15. Schatz is doing what Kinser used to do----dominate (though he did it in the old days). If they had given anyone else the lap that both WoO corner workers said the 15 deserved and that the Director of WoO officials said he deserved, there would be no problem.

Kinser looked stupid. "the cheapest organization I ever seen". That's a good one. I ever seen.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.
