I watched the Prelude To The Dream tonight and to me the track looked a lot flatter. Was wondering when they took the banking out, or is it just me? Thanks

They did it before the season started last year. If I remember right, the banking was 18 degrees on the bottom of the turns and 24 degrees at the top before the change. Its now a uniform 20 degrees from top to bottom.
Someone else will have to confirm or deny that though.

They made that change so the nascar pansies could get around that place in the taxis. They would have been scared sh*tless with it the old way.
Cheers!

Smoke smoked 'em with a rim-riding exhibition. He was on a mission on the high side. Track was too fast with not much dust ... but a lot of SMOKE. Blaney set a NTR in quals.

Watched it on paperview, what a great time for a great cause!!!Some people's remarks just amaze me. Many drivers flew in to our local airport. Kyle Petty and Jeff Gordon couldn't have been nicer.

After watching the race last night I had a few thoughts. One of those thoughts were that its still amazing to me that you can take a guy like Harvick, who had none to little time on dirt, how he manage to kinda hang with Tony for the first couple laps, granted there where a few cautions. So then I took it a step further. Are these Nascar boys really this good. Can they jump into something like a Late Model and tear it up like a Scott Bloomquist? Seems that they run pretty close to the same lap times as the drivers who drive these things all the time. To take it a step further, out of the Nascar guys, which ones could run a winged sprint car with the 410 and be competitve? Now we already know Smoke, isnt going to get a guy like Saldana, more less Schatz. But who could? Im interested in seeing where this goes. Dont act like you didnt watch either, who you fooling here, if your here cause you like dirt track racing, you must of watched last night!

Well - of course Dave Blaney could and Kasey probably - Jeff Gordon (maybe a liiitle rusty when it comes to sprinters) and Robby Gordon seems like he can drive anything. And speaking of driving anything you gotta throw Schrader in there ... Ryan Newman could probably hang too.. and I bet if you give Carl Edwards and Rowdy (the new Mr. Black Hat) Busch a few practice laps they would get 'er around pretty decent - OK Busch would probably wad a few up first... but overall the aforementioned could hustle a sprinter around Eldora.
I was thinking last night how cool a "Prelude to the Kings Royal" would be with the above mentioned drivers and then some. Now there's a dream...
