Shame the rest of the weekend was so great to have the A go huggypole. Time spent on the driver intros dried the track out on top. I was told that by one of the officials. Other than that, what a great weekend. You won't see much better racing. Make sure to order your video of the event. It will be one to remember.

Agreed Greg. though I knew it would end up that way when there was standing water near the Bondio Berm after the track was ironed.
Tuesday and Wednesday there was a great cushion, but it never reappeared the rest of the week after they packed the track so tight with the roller...

They had plenty of time to completely rework the track before the A Sat. night. To me there was no excuse for such a horrible surface for one of the most important races of the year. It would have started to go dry before the 50 laps was up even with a completely reworked track. Will they never learn?
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday were perfect tracks. You couldn't have asked for anything better. I was hoping it would continue through the rest of the week. I feel for the folks who only got to see Friday and Saturday night's shows. But then, they don't know what they missed.
Thank you for Tues. thru Thursday.

I agree on the track condition. Friday I hoped they had just missed it some, but Saturday it was obvious they had lost the book. There was a schedule printed that looked like proper timing for maintenance, but they hadn't read that either. Maybe they thought they were behind and had to skip some. And flag thing has really lost its luster I think. I remember when all the drivers were really in that, and the track wasn't so wet.

Don't tell Jerry Coons, Jr it was a huggy pole track. That guy was flying right up on the wall after about 15 laps, and if he hadn't gotten "Chili Bowled" and stuffed into the wall, the finish may have come out a bit differently. I agree, though, that track prep suffers from the parade, etc. It was funny watching all the drivers try to cross the soaking wet track, though, and to hear who the people in the infield wanted to fall on their butt. With 270 cars racing on one day, no track in the world is going to hold up.....maybe it's time to stretch the schedule out starting on Tuesday so the prelims, through about the "E" features, run Friday and Saturday is just the upper end of the alphabet and the 50 lapper.
