I remember the car from it's last race at Sacramento when Mike English owned it. It was number 54 then. Mike didn't make the race because the car had no oomph, he was flat on the floor all the away around. Mike's car was the only one I remember from the race that had a good old fashioned front grille in it. That race was also notable for a few other things. That was the race where Tony Stewart got the final leg of the USAC Triple Crown by winning the Silver Crown championship. Tony was buried in 10th or 12th in the Neibel V6 car and Dave Darland was running in the top 3 in the Foxco car if I recall. Whoever finished in front of the other would win the championship. Dave's motor blew in very spectacular comet-like fashion going into turn 1 and handed the championship to Stewart. Another "notable" memory is that Cory Kruseman was very badly hurt in the accompanying midget race.
