Any predictions on Silver cup this weekend in Chico. Willie Croft?? Mark Hall? I heard Kevin Sharrah will be in Fauvers car. He almost picked off a race last year in that car and looked pretty good last friday in the 18b car.

Stephen Allard to make modified debut at Silver Cup

By Gary Thomas

Chico, CA - March 19, 2008...Defending Silver Dollar Speedway 410 sprint car champion Stephen Allard will make his debut in a dirt modified at this weekend's Silver Cup and will be competing against a number of Nor Cal's top modified drivers at the event

The Silver Cup is a two-night event at Silver Dollar Speedway and features 360 winged sprints, wingless spec sprints and dirt modifieds. Allard had a good test session last Sunday at playday and looks forward to competing for the first time in the modified on Friday night. Brother Jonathan stated, "Stephen had the car moving pretty good at the end of playday and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action on Friday."

Following this weekend's Silver Cup the Chico native will get back behind the wheel of the 1m Racing 410 sprinter to do battle in the opening point race at Silver Dollar Speedway on March 28. Last season Allard and the team won three main events and had a number of impressive runs throughout the year.

If anybody would like to come on board 1m Racing as a sponsor please visit with Allard and team in the pit area. We would love for anyone to become part of the team and to help market your product or business in the sport of auto racing.
