Sprintcar racing was born in America and has been growing into an international sport that has been great for manufactures in USA for years, but now we have a certain company *** that wants to change that with sweat shop labor and material that you don't even know the quality of just for a profit at the expense of all that race and work on these cars, We need to stand together on this while we have a choice or a day will come that you won't have a choice to choose what car you what to buy, We have a sport born and built in USA and lets keep that away, Buy American save a job besides it might be your job someday, We give enough jobs away already. Let me know how you feel

My eyes were opened a bit when I was listening to an Internet broadcast concerning this subject. and found that Speedway Motors had been importing sprint car parts for over 20 years. Most of the steel is made overseas somewhere, as the USA doesn't like steel mills and there pollution. I know this was a slam against xxx race cars who build a decent piece for the weekly racer. Being in that category myself, I must confess it is either new xxx parts or 15 year old used American parts. what would you do? After having the misfortune to crash the xxx a few times, I have found it to be as good as any I have owned as far as softness in the right places and hardness in the right places. The car bends where it needed to save my butt and is hard enough to save it. I would suggest you better check out more than just the chassis parts when you decide which brand to buy. Also check out the origin of manufacture of the apparel the USA companies use to advertise their products. Are you against only the chassis being made elsewhere or the idea that about everything else on the car is made there also?Enjoy driving your Volvo hauler to the races whileyou wear your Thailand shirts and Korean jeans listening to your Japanese radio and watching your Mexican made monitor in the sleeper.

RBrown - I think you missed a forum or two when you posted this everywhere.
I can not understand why people continue to attack the XXX company. They sell a good product at a reasonable price. If it were truly about not buying imports as you say RBrown you would not be racing at all. You would be living in a log cabin in the sticks somewhere. Nearly everything you own is made in another country. This country moved away from manufacturing and into consuming nearly 20 years ago with the signing of NAFTA and it has only gotten worse.
Anyway, sorry to get all political but if you run off XXX (and other foreign manufacturers) you will run off a few of the weekly racers. Just because you get rid of the competition does not mean they will buy your stuff instead.

John - I think that RBrown is forgetting that the PC industry was developed in the Good Ol' US of A.
Yet I defy him, or anyone else, to find a PC that is currently manufactured in the US. If you substitute "computer" for "sprint car" in his argument you'll see what I mean. And why shouldn't PC's be made in this country?
BECAUSE NO ONE COULD AFFORD TO BUY ONE!
But you won't see him complaining about off-shore PC manufacturing , or anything else for that matter. He uses his foreign made PC to bash a foreign made chassis manufacturer/importer. IMO. it's just kind of two-faced..... You cannot have it both ways - you're either against offshore manufacturing, or you're not....
Like others have said, it's likely that there is not a 100% American Manufactured sprint car out there. Ask Winters the point of manufacture of the center sections of their rear ends, C&R the point of manufacture of the Visteon cores that they use to build radiators. I think that RBrown will be surprised....
Chuck.....
