By the way, I did sneak in a midget question in the sprint car division.

With contest flagman Stan M unfurling the green flag today, the 9th Annual GRP Racing Trivia Contest got underway at the mythical MDTR Speedway. In a departure from previous contests, the sprint cars and late models took to the track during the first week of the contest. Many of the usual cast of characters are on hand to either try their luck in the contest or to kick back, watch the spectacle unfold, and have some fun in the process.
Typically there are few if any actual entries on day #1 of the contest. Lots and lots of hot lap practice sessions though, as contestants fine tune their entries. In fact, Ryan Aho sent along a photo of the fast-paced action in this evening's practice sessions. The cars are going so fast, they are kind of a blur. Almost makes a person think they are seeing Double 12s. Can that be? Indeed it is. Must be a new entry in the pits this year with a two car combo team. Watch out CLSracer and Latemodel1, you're gonna have your hands full this year!
Keith and Sally have the concessions stands well-stocked. Zimmy has already shown us that FargoFlash is perched in one of his favorite places. It appears Stan M has hired a rather unusual pace truck driver. Bloomer0 has a never-ending campfire burning brightly with plenty of "fuel" available. The "Animals" have turned out in force to watch HoosiersUp. Modchaser has his "Big Cock" Chassis mod on hand already for some practice laps. "Walter" Ray Beste is working to get his Malcuit powered DDS I-94 Chassis dialed in. He's battling a bit of a push (or is that hook?) right now. Modman91 is in the house to help Terry test bleachers. Announcer Todd N brings along his "southern MN drawl" much to the delight of the fans. Mark Sinn has the Sinner Special on hand. And race fans that's just in the late model ranks. The sprints cars have plenty of the usual suspects on hand too! We'll report on them tomorrow. Should be a fun time at the MDTR Speedway over the course of the next two weeks.

The late Fred Brownfield's Northern Sprint Tour or the National Sprint Tour....
Either NST answer will suffice?
