The dad is Terry. He's had a long successful career in 410's, 1 of knoxville's all-time best, ran WOO for a couple years, and still races in the 360 division. The kids - Austin who is the subject this post has raced 410's several years now, is currently 1 of the best weekly competitors at Knoxville. Carson is the other son who moved up to 410's this season after a few years in 360's and ran pretty well.

I'm assuming you are talking about Austin. The Country Builders team is well funded, but it isn't a national level funding and also doesn't have a reason to be on a national tour. Add in that Austin and his wife recently had a baby and Mrs Mccarl has a solid job, going on the road would not make sense. I'm sure if a a million dollar sponsorship came along, similar to what Tod Quiring had with Terry before owning the team, then they would consider it. If anything that team would add in Huset's weekly or a PowrI 410 series which would make the most sense.
Carson is the one I could see trying a national tour run. His wife is the daughter of Craig Dollansky and there are some old racing ties there that have backed WoO runs in the past.

The original owner of the 88 country builders car, was sitting behind me at the Trophy Cup. I believe his sons run the team. Although we never spoke about a National Tour, that didn't seem like a possiblity. I got the feeling he would like to see more races run in CA, but didn't seem like Austin would be his choice, HE SAID THE YOUNG kids out of outlaw karts and micro's run MUCH HARDER AND MORE AGGRESSIVE than the veterans from the midwest on the type of tracks in CA (small, cowboy up tracks). Obviously Austin is very good at Knoxville.
Could HL or Outlwas convince then to race, maybe. Pretty sure talking with those involved in sprint cars, both HL and Outlways give money and support that the public doesn't know about. So it would be pretty cool to see one of the iconic teams compete on a national tour.
Side note, I believe Cory's Day Dad drove the #88 and won the very first trophy cup. (no first hand knowlege, but I would guess the Country Builders Team supported Cory in some way. Grandpa told me he would LOVE to get Cory to drive their car for 1 race, BUT DID NOT WANT to ruffle #14 Jerry Myer car.
Take my post with a grain of salt. This was just 2 guys bench racing in the stands at the Trophy Cup between races.

I would say look for an annoucment at PRI show involving Austin's plans. I can see the 88 Car going on the Outlaw route. Everything is in place for them to make the jump just maybe lacking a reliable crew guy or two.
Also if anyone watched the Trophy Cup this year, the 88 CBR painting was sold at $25,000 to none other then the Country Builders team. So funding is there! haha
