So a few things became a little clearer:
*WoO and HL can run on the same night without the world ending.
*Both drew a good number of cars
*Both had fields of good drivers
*Sweet, Larson and Abreau aren't going to win every HL race
*Donny Schatz has what it takes to win with the WoO.
*Anthony Macri can win on the road in a top notch series
The big question that remains is, which group had the better race last night?

TYime will tell when later in the year some teams have run out of money.

Win/win for both series & fans!
Good competitive battle between Macri & Sunshine, 2 of my favorite drivers
Nice to see Macri back in the family car & winning again
At this point, I think HL & WoO are pretty even in terms of talent....

Both series benifited from local drivers. There will be races later that will not have full fields. I would say the top 10 sprint car teams are equally divided between both series. When they all run together at the bigger events is when it really counts. The midweek races are good but head to head it gives several smaller less financed teams a chance to at least make the Amain

There aren't many 410 teams in Texas. In fact there haven't been very many 410 races in TX in recent years. Hopefully that changes, some nice tracks down there. I know Devil's Bowl was a historic track but TMS and RPM are much better tracks racing wise. TMS is a top notch facility, good to see it back on the map. Hope it's a tad slicker and wider when HL returns.

* Conner Morrell off the HL tour 16 "high rollers" remain. I wonder if he will still be fielding a car for Cap Henry on the midweek tour?

I was wondering what happened to him when I didn't see him in Texas. That's to bad Conners a good kid and had improved a lot over his last season with the All Stars. Do you or anyone else reading this know if he's going to be running in the midwest with the IRA or what he's going to be doing ?

He ran Attica Saturday night. He had some good moments with the All Stars and will benefit running Attica and Fremont I think, if that's the route he goes the rest of the year.

Good post
This past week actually proves that there are enough high quality 410's out there for both series to be successful - IF... if they will work together and not schedule on top of each other. They can both put on great shows for really good money.
When one is in the East, the other should be in the Midwest and vice verse
Then it would really be great if they could come together for the crown jewel events. The only challenge with that is who get's streaming rights

All I know is that when the WoO Feature ended I flipped to Flo and saw most of theirs. I don't car if a WoO or HL driver wins in head to head competition or who had the most drivers in the top ten. I was cheering for Kerry Madsen to hang on and win HL because he's a familiar driver that races at tracks in our area. He's one of the older drivers and I have to like that.
When this deal came down I knew the tv experience was going to be pretty awesome. I was concerned about both scheduling against each other but I realize now that I'm not going to miss the drivers that left the WoO at our local shows. The Sprint Car scene around IA, SD, ND, MN, and WI will do fine without them. As far as production I wear headphones when watching tv and the sound quality between DV and Flo is miles apart. When DV played Whiskey Meyers the sound quality was great. The same song on Flo (that song with all the flat thirds and root notes in the riff) sounded like it was played on a transistor radio over my $250 mixing headphones.

The vast majority of crown jewel events are WoO sanctioned and will be on DV. It will be interesting to see what happens when the HL runs a preliminary night show at Eldora. Probably the same thing they aleays do, we have to switch back and forth between channels all night.

and 42 at Attica and 34 at Port Royal saturday as well. All will be good car count wise when both series are east of Kansas I think.
BTW another GREAT race at Port Royal Saturday, thanks Razor Steve for again providing the best Central PA racing for fans and drivers.

Agree. We went to our first race this season at Port Royal and there was great racing. A nice field of cars and well prepared track. Can't wait until we're able to go again in the summer.
