There is a website (www.oklahomakarting.com) that will give you info. I have a kart for sale but I need to know what you are looking for ie a champ or flat cart, motor, age of child, dirt or asphalt. I used to race at lawton and sold my ministock to get my 6 year old into karting. Tons of fun and creates a bond that is unbreakable between you and your kids. Feel free to call me and I will offer what advice I can. Hope this Helps... David Ousley (580)515-0152

He will be he 5 in Jan, I just wanted to get him started early, he has a 4 wheeler he drives very well on his track we built him, he can even drive it when it get's sideways on him without spinning out, so I think he's ready to race. I thought about getting a JR sprint but they look like they will be to expensive.

A low end Jr with a briggs motor will cost $4000 and you can race it allover but there is no hurry hes 5.
If it were me and my child was 5, I'd just get a kart like Ryan Neighbors has. Its alot less expensive and it still teaches the kid how to race and more important have fun. We as dads/racers sometimes forget that. Once he gets a year or so older then get a jr sprint. Gives you more time to save for one if money is a problem and you will find out if he/she realy wants to do it.
I bought a kid kart for my son when he was 5. He loved it.
Money isn't everything, but it sure keeps your kids
