Congrats to former USMTS Silver Bullet USAC Champion Paul White of Temple, Texas on winning tonight's USMTS A main at Houston Raceway Park. Paul drove the Jim and Penny Chapman wrenched, Bridwell Racing Kraft Kar Chassis I believe. That may be Paul's 1st USMTS win but as long as he's been racing, maybe not.
Found out why all the DNSs and DNFs. The race track was rough and rutty. Apparently, they got dumped on pretty hard last weekend. They finished at 11:30. Lots of cautions I guess.
The equipment is already on the track now to make it better tomorrow night. I'm sure they're going to get it right and one thing for sure, it won't be one-groove!
Serious money starts tommorrow night! $2000 to win with $3000 to win on Saturday.

Other "bright" spots - Steve Holzkamper & Clyde Dunn start 19th & 20th and finish 3rd & 4th.
On the not-so-bright, only 10 cars finished.
That's OK it'll be better tomorrow. AND warmer! 72 for a high and mostly cloudy. Temperature won't get out of the 60s for either of the remaining race nights. Wind not a factor for Friday but it will be blowing on Saturday night so bring that jacket anyway!
One report said they finished at 11:15 and it was still a very good show though inspite of the track conditions. Had 59 Mods and 49 Lim Mods. Probably have more tonight (Friday) but I can forget that 100!
It'll be better tomorrow night with the track ironed out.
