Will be interesting to see who will be running with the All Stars for this year's Speedweek schedule.

Please comment if you know of anyone.

I am guessing Cale Thomas and Lokie McHugh in the 101 cars. Ian Madsen in the 49x?

KTJ in the Indy Parts 71 car? Buddie Kofoid?

Many times Larson and Abreu have raced some Speed week shows. A possibility this year?

Ohio Sprint Speedweek, often immitated, never duplicated. Now, that being said, lets get this thing back to 7 races in 7 days with no duplicates as God intended.

I assume Larson will race a bunch of them as there's no Cup race on June 19 so he could run the last 6 (and win at least 4 of them).

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ohio Speedweeks paying mostly $6k to win in the age of streaming money is absurd. It's already been surpassed by PA Speedweeks in terms of purse and hype.

Not true: In 2021 the average A-main purse for PA Speedweek is $31,850.  The average for Ohio is $32,165

My guess is thats because a $10k to win Port Royal race was rained out last year as opposed to your losing the traditional Limaland rain out which would have paid $6k.

Either way, it's 65% of a normal WoO purse with WoO type crowds at a lot of tracks.

Compare the above with the Illinois LM speedweek, 1st annual. I could be mistaken on the specifics but they had 4 races, 2 paid $22,022 to win, one paid $15k to win and the finale paid $30k to win. And don't tell me that LMs are that much more popular than sprint cars. It's 1) LM drivers that don't race for peanuts, 2) promoters who have to compete for those racers, and thus pay more than $6k to win and let's face it 3) the Flo guys who control the purse strings and where the Flo money goes being LM guys.

My wish would be that Ohio Speedweek shows would pay $10,000 to win with the finale at Eldora paying $25,000.

That would elevate Speedweek in a big way.

Ohio Speedweek gets an automatic 12-15 cars every year because they are ASCOC races. PA being unsanctioned means a lot of guys skip the lower paying shows if they don't have a chance to place in the top 10 in points. None the less what is the difference between 35 and 45 cars? Just a C Main. I'm good with 35. Both Ohio and PA Speedweek are great and its especially great that they don't conflict with each other. This is definitely the best time of year to be a sprint car fan, especially with the entire OH Speedweek on Flo.

The only difference is with 45 cars, there might be more hotshots in the B, & the heats are more meaningful...

I usually hit a few Pa. SW shows, always wanted to see Ohio SW too. I've only been to Eldora & Attica in Ohio.... Attica seemed really racy!

Schedule is nice with a wide variety of tracks in shape, size, and banking. Always a fun week with car counts in the 40s with some tracks getting 50+. Plus you have a 10k to win show at the beginning of the week and a $20k to win show at the finale. 6k to win with decent money throughout the field that is better than 90% of regular show pays in the country.

Of course none of this matters as thousands of armchair track preppers already have, "did they forget the keys to the water truck" already queued into HH or their social media pages. News flash to everyone who hasn't paid attention the past 40yrs or is new to this, Ohio tracks are dusty. Ohio tracks in the summer, very dusty.

To steer away from the pissing match and back to the actual topic. Danny Dietrich, Cole Macedo, Ian Madsen, and Greg Wilson are planning on running the whole thing. Brent Marks looks like he will pick it up on Tuesday and run the remainder. I'd expect Larson to pick it up on Monday. An interesting one is maybe Anthony Macri, he is going to Knoxville this weekend like Marks, maybe he'll hit a few on the way back to PA?

I don't get macri towing to knoxville. Everyone is speculating the 39 team may go on the road. Personally, I don't see it. If it is in there plans why not run ohio speedweek and see how well you can do. He'll he and his buddy DD could share information. LOL. If there trying to get notes on running the nationals out there somebody better let them know that gumbo is a lot different come national time.

How fast he is this year.  I wouldn't be surprised if he made the A again this year.
