Going through some old programs and seeing some of the Holbrook 8h cars got me curious...
Who was Junior Holbrook? I do understand he has passed away. Other than that I haven't found anything.
Where part of the country did he come from? What was his connection to racing? What did he do to be able to fund his racing??
Seems to be one of the more forgotten players from that era imo, seemed to spend a fair amount of his racing endeavors during his time.

Correct me if wrong but didn't the Holbrook Car win the Knoxville Nationals a few short years ago with Tim Shaefer?

Yes the Holbrooks are from Ohio. I believe the car that won the Nationals was his ex wife Janet's team, she was also involved in Dale Blaney's car for several years. Janet was the promoter at Attica for a long time as well.

someone should post a complete ledger of his drivers, Rocky Hodges, Shane Stewart, Dean Jacobs, Randy Hannigan, Brian Paulus, Johnny Herrera, Dale Blaney, Tim Shaeffer; I've got to be missing many, list away.
It was said for awhile, Jr even built their own motors.

Joe Gaerte, Terry McCarl, Phil Gressman
Cars were typically yellow with red chassis, until the multi-car Gaerte/D. Jacobs/Gressman era when they had a multicolored "spike" scheme that transitioned to black. Each team had a different main color on the front of the car. I thought that was cool.

If this post isn't results, stories or something c

Probably too many to list, but first driver was in 1989 - Rodney Duncan. Had a lot of part year drivers (local racing) early on, but ran the All Stars, World of Outlaws, Gumout Series, ASCS Ohio, NRA throughout the years. The Jr/Janet Holbrook cars were #8h for the most part.
The Janet Holbrook/Aaron Call cars were #83 starting in 2009 - Driver Tim Shaffer for five years (many, many wins including the Nationals in 2010). In 2015 teamed up with Tod Quiring for the Muddy 1 car with Dale Blaney for two years until George Fisher's death.

Didn't he show up one year at Knoxville with 3 or 4 cars? 8, 8H, 18 and 88?
