I was there it was decent but not as many as I expected for all the hype. I will go again next year.

Judging from the overhead view on the highlight videos, it looked pretty thin. But, then maybe it was a good sized WoO crowd but looked skimpy because the stands are so big?

I googled the capacity and it said 162,000.
So if 9 out of 10 seats are empty they had 16,200 people. That would look empty imo but would also be a great crowd for a WoO race, NO?
Considering it isnt a crown jewel.or in a sprint car hotbed, would the WoO be happy with that number?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

The cost of bringing in, then turning around and hauling it out, had to be very expensive. But, they did say, it will happen again next year. So the numbers had to make sense to somebody.

I'd put the crowd between 12-15k, which would rival a Nationals prelim night. And that was the Friday show, I'm sure they would have had more for Saturday if the weather was good. Since Bristol already had the expense of putting the dirt down for nascar, I'm sure the track made money. They will need to increase the purse next year to ensure a car count above 24. Something like $3k to start would make sense.

I believe they sold seats that complied with the social distant guidelines. At least that is they way they appeared when I looked for tickets. Not sure if they sold all of the seats and I thought I heard that there were seats still available.
It is a disappointment that the field is a small one, but I do understand teams staying away. The speeds look wicked fast and you see the many cars that show a wiggle at some point in a full lap showing there are many that are not comfortable with the speeds.
Sure is obvious that a few find the speeds pretty comfortbale including Gravel, Reutzel, Schatz, and a few others.

Is there any news for 2022? I know nascar is back but haven't heard anything about other series racing.
