i've enjoyed keeping up with the races on flo.  we get up on sundays and knock out the lincoln and port features in 30-45 minutes.

still feeling things out for the most part.  there are a lot of cars where it's too early to really judge.  dewease is strong at port which is no surprise.  there have been surprises at lincoln.  i thought dd would get in the pattern of winning every race and he's gotten his share...but others have been taking their turn as well.  it seems like something is missing without montieth and the door is open for somebody to take charge down there.  it's hard to make sense out of the grove with all the rain outs.  starting position has been key at all the races so far.

i think chase dietz is going to get one soon.  he's been strong down at lincoln but always seems to have to navigate too much traffic.

ryan smith has a 360 win, a 410 top 10 at port, and a 410 top 5 at bridgeport.  not a bad start to the season for him after getting going a little bit later than everyone else.  i haven't seen a full schedule about their plans for the season.  we'll be out to the track more if he starts going to more races.

I'll swear it was spitting a little bit of snow late this afternoon as well.

I know I could find the info online, but it probably wouldn't mean much to an outsider. Can some of you PA fans say who the track champions were at your local tracks and whether you expect those guys to be the ones to beat this year?

rahmer won lincoln and williams grove.  wagner won port royal.  they'll be in the mix to win again especially if rahmer turns his luck around at lincoln.  guys like dewease and dietrich bounce around on saturdays which costs them points.  macri probably had the best season at port last year but spent the early part of the year traveling.  same with brent marks who was strong later in the year.

there is still plenty of room for another up and coming team.  nobody seems to have things completely put together yet.  it could be another gathering of the outlaws in the top 5 when they come through next month.

Anybody gonna get on here and say Port royal sucked last night?

Wagner 18th to 2nd, DD 14th to 4th.

Just watched video highlights and looked like 410s were using the entire track.

Non stop feature and tons of passing, looked like a fantastic race!

I was there. Non stop, 23 cars still running at the end, anyone who knows how to watch a race so busy watching it nobody said anything until it was over and the consensus around me was WOW. And nobody gave damn what lap time were. They had thirtfour 410's so there were no slow cars in the feature in fact some pretty good ones didn't make the feature.

My choices are a 10 class two night marathon at the local track next weekend or the All Stars on Floracing.  That is the typical choice week in and week out, a live Modified and Stock Car orgy or Sprint Cars on TV in the man cave.  So far the man cave is winning.  wink

Found it interesting that PR had 34 and Lincoln 24.

Not trying to start a Tastes great/Less filling gang fight but any ideas why?

I'm jealous of he guy from OH headed to PA next week for All Stars and LOLM, sure wish I could.

I watched that & 3 other races too, 2 laptops: Lincoln, Port, WoO

Looking forward to late April USAC swing, my first live races since last March at Lincoln

I was impressed with car count of 25 for USAC East Coast 360s at Port last nite. Haven't been following car count with them closely, but it seems like a significant improvement

I hope some of those guys can get 410 engines to challenge National tour guys later this month.... not that its gonna be a "Posse/USAC" rivalry, but just to make things interesting. With USAC format, heats don't mean so much if everybody qualifies...

I'm not gonna try to predict track champs, but the up & coming guy in Central Pa. is clearly Anthony Macri...

Mid 15 to high 15 second bracket for time trials.  That is where it should be for a 2 division show.  It needs to be a tick faster for a 3 division show.   No, I was not at Port last night.

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Macri banging it off the outside rail in turn 2, not lifting and still passing the 2nd place car going down the backstretch...unbelievable! Port and Lincoln both had outstanding features last night.

Port race was fun, especially battle between 2,3 & 4

I was hoping for Sunshine to get his first winged victory, or maybe Jacob Allen to win it, but alas....

Lap times, schmap times,,, its not Bonneville wink
