Bes to do the entire series/week/tracks, they all have their good & bad points, overall best week in sprints.

They are not currently schedule to race at any airports, so you are clear there.

You'll get a lot more info on the Indiana Open Wheel forums but I believe most folks fly into Indy and use that city as their home base as it is centrally located.

Fly into Indy, all tracks can be easily reached from an Indy area hotel and a rental car.

I agree, http://www.indianaopenwheel.com/ is the place to go for this data.

But Indianapolis is probably your best bet to fly in and out of with the usual many options for rental cars etc..

I've heard some like to stay in one hotel for most of the trip and drive to the tracks, while others like to stay in a hotel right near each track. Lawrenceburg and Haubstadt are pretty far from Indy, while the other tracks are pretty close.

Sprint week or midget week?  If you are talking about the non-wing sprint week, you might want to consider midget week instead.  The midget races on the little Indiana tracks are amazing and the sprints are the support class.  Pretty hard to beat that.

Good point, but some day I'd like to do both

I've been to about 3 races at each one, never the whole shebang for either

Exactly, at Midget Week you get a full show of USAC Midgets and non-sanctioned sprint cars with the majority of the drivers doing double duty each night. It's the best bang for your buck, but Sprint Week will also be a great experience.

On IOW, you can get recommendations for camping, restaurants, etc. & you might just make some new friends. I ran into somebody I was talking to on that website & ended up with a place to crash, rides to tracks, introductions to other fans & insider BS..... wink

Fly in and out of Indy, there are PLENTY of motels close to all the tracks that WILL have vacancies. Don't stay in Indy, move around with the races. As noted, best "week long" searis of them all.. Go to the pits and ifields where you can. DO IT.

I agree on staying in different hotels.   As the series moves around, you can find logical places where you reduce travel.   The convience of not having to check in and out of hotels will soon be surpased by a lot of wasted miles up and down the highway.

True... plus, you won't have to deal with Indy traffic

I can vouch for Lincoln Park, Bloomington & Kokomo as being awesome.  Have seen both a midget week & sprint week show at Lincoln Park.  Sprint week at Bloomington & midget week at Kokomo.  Sprint week seems to have more of a traveling circus feel it seems to me, but the midget/sprint combo of Midget Week is great stuff.  All tracks I mentioned are really good.  I really like Lincoln Park as a venue.  Cool setting with track down below & seating on the hillside.  Great racing as well.

I would not drive back to Indy from Tri State. I would stay in Princeton or north Evansville. Otherwise its sorta a tossup on staying in the same place for a week vs a much shorter ride home every night.

Within hearing distance of Tri City Speedway
