CONGRATULATIONS to 2020 Sprint Car Bandits series champion Michael Day!

Michael topped 87 other sprint car teams to pick up his first ever series championship. One feature win (Monarch Motor Speedway) and a string of consistent finishes (not even one DNF) lead to the accomplishment.

Finishing in 2nd in overall points was Claud Estes III with one feature win (KENNEDALE SPEEDWAY PARK), and no DNF's during the season pulled him to within 42 markers when the final checkers took place on Saturday night.

Amassing the third highest points total was Casey Burkham who also had a string of strong performances in his beautifully prepared Burkham Contracting #45B sprinter.

Coming home in 4th in 2020 points was Christian Kinnison in the #82C, and he had multiple nights where he came through the field advancing several positions - including on the finale night where he became the Cabinets by Tommy Hard Charger award after advancing 12 positions.

Rounding out the top 5 was Channin Tankersley that chalked up three feature victories during the course of the season (Monarch Motor Speedway, HOT Speedway and 82 Speedway) in the Old School Racing (Bruce Griffith) #17.

THANK YOU again to all of the race teams, fans, tracks, series workers, sponsors and safety crews for your support of the Sprint Car Bandits series - and we'll see you next year with the kick off of the www.2021boss.com series!

Area tracks have already booked several events and the calendar is filling in nicely. We already have 7 more $2,000 to win and $300 to start events booked for 2021 than we did in 2020. If you are a racetrack and would like to discuss booking a Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series event, please email Darin at [email protected] for more information.

Congrats to him, but so did alot of other drivers in different clubs.  Did this really need a thread of it own?  Every Sprint Car Club has or will in the very near future have a Points Championship.  So why does this one individual warrant a thread on winning this one particular clubs Point Championship.

To me this seems like a HOMERISTIC announcement, and if your going to start a thread like this ALL SPRINT CAR CLUBS Points Champs should be mentioned

i'M NOT complaining, I'm asking a question because this thread seems to imply that this particular guy did something that warranted more recognition than any other Point Champion this season.  That just isnt the case and if your going to mention some random point champ than I feel ALL Point Champions need to be mentioned.

Ahhhh, Yeah.... This is a sprint car site and other topics are discussed from time to time much to my chagrin(sp). Yes All the news Fit to Sprint. This dude came out the champ over 87 others in a sprint car. I would think that might be a decent accomplishment, I've never done it even in a micro. I might not have read this thread if you wouldn't have posted your disappointment. Thanks and congrats to the winner.

Annual Series and Track Championship posts and press releases are common, whether some choose to post them on a forum or in a racing news source is the option of whomever is directing where they want the information to be seen.

If someone has the gumption to compile all of them in a season and post them, that's certainly their prerogative too.

Actually Jim Harris is probably the one person on this forum that committed to knowing all those driver facts.

Many times through the years he's messaged me if I knew the winner or details of racing events, as he compiles them.

Ever think that maybe the OP is affiliated with the sprint bandits and that is why he posted about just the sprint bandit champion instead of ALL point champions? It's a sprint car message board and the topic is as relevent as any else on here. You didn't even need to click on it if you weren't interested.

Organizations and tracks have PR  people. This in one of there jobs or responsibilities to promote those who win there championships. They also produce weekly race results that also promote the drivers, tracks and associations. Years from now someone writing a book will do some research and wonder why there are no results for a certain period and who won that championshipy?  It is history. I can personally say they do a great job. I wish it was 100% but it's coming along. This year there were tracks or organizations that didn't maintain points for various reasons. Will we remember why? Going to blow my own horn, for all the races that were run in 2021 I have the top 5 of every A feature with the exception of 5 races to date. It is my contribution to history. Thanks for the mention Daren.  Drivers PR people will do releases also, It's something they can take to there sponsors or future sponsors on how the performed.  Enough said.

Yes, it needed a thread of it's own. This is a sprint car forum, he is a sprint car club champion. If the ASCoC want to post a similar thread about their champion, that would be fine too.

NoDoors, You don't get to decide what people share and or post. Set aside some time for self assesment!
