Kyle Larson racing anything but a lightweight open wheel, open cockpit car is simply a Greek tragedy. It's like hitching a thoroughbred race horse to a plow on an Amish farm. It would be like Chuck Yaeger flying around in a Cessna. It would be like....well you get the picture.

anyway he will be in NASCAR in 2021, very little doubt.  What car I do not know, but he would only go to a car capable of winning.

It's not with Stewart-Hass, atleast for 2021.

The deal has been done for a couple months now and as more and more little news bits drop, it's looking more and more like it will be the 48 car.

The 48 ride has been open for sometime and there has been little to no other names being mentioned around the car.  Kyle has been doing work in Philadelphia at the Urban Youth Racing School since June and he was just there a couple weeks ago with NASCAR President and a lead GM/Chevy executive.

He took this summer to educate himself on the mistake he made and grow as an individual.  We got to benefit from it and watch him dominate. I would love to watch him on dirt more but I think it's time for Larson to go back to NASCAR, it looked like he was getting kind of bored. Hopefully Rick will allow him to race a few dirt races, I know the Bowman has been allowed to do Chili Bowl and a couple others in the off-season.

Actually Amish use older thoroughbreds often.

So that just opens up the 88, or 25, or 5, or whatever number that is in the Hendrick stable of numbers that they have used in the past.

Only other drivers available outside of Larson are Erik Jones, Ty Dillion, and some other drivers that have yet to win. Have not heard too much talk about Jones although he did tweet a picture of a quarter midget/kart he drove as a kid with flames onit a week or so ago stating that flames seem to be a common theme on his cars throughout his career. Some have speculated that means drivers of the Hendrick stable could be swapping seats putting Jones in the 24, and with Byron Signed as well he could move to the 88.

Then there is the multiple Larson reports that he is going to Hendrick. A lot of speculating but not a lot of knowing.

Essentially nothing changed, Larson would still be replacing Jimmie Johnson. This move actually makes it more likely Larson would be the new diver at Hendrick, imo.

Bowman in 88 has been struggling find funding for full seasons, so moving him to the 48 with Ally on thru 2023 makes sense, plus Ally may not want to get their hands dirty with Larson.

This also allows Hendrick to possibly change and retire the 88 that was Dale Jr's and replace it with the 5 or 25, numbers that are more traditional with Henderick.  Also, Mr. H likes 5 or 25 on the car when he has to sponsor the car with hendrickcars.com, which would not be out fo the question with Larson in the car.

He may have difficulty finding the sponsor dollars for the 88 car.

Well where ever he ends up I hope, and it can't be any worse, that it's a better ride than the one he got out of. Ganassi has McDonald's money and when and if that ever dries up he will be gone from nascrap to.

'doing work in Philly at the Urban Youth Racing School since June' - well, that splains why he has stuck around and won 80% of the races in PA since then.

Since all other imported drivers before him only raced here, that surely qualifies him as Posse.

Before turning this into another Posse bashing thread, please consider that we need all the help we can get - this year anyway - hopefully just this year.
